Sixty- Two

Shawn watches Athena as she puts on her jewellery one by one taking her time. His heart beats faster when she stands up giving him a full view of her silk champagne coloured mini dress. She smoothens it down and turns to look at Shawn.

"What?" She asks looking at Shawn as he grins, he shakes his head rubbing his eyes with his hands. He gets up walking over to her. "You" he puts his hands on her waist. "My love look gorgeous"

"Stop it" Athena blushes placing her hands on his chest. "I'm not joking" he says pulling her in. "I can't believe your mine" he whispers in her ear tucking her curled hair back.

He kisses her neck gently and her hands go to his face cupping his cheeks. "Where's your tie?" She asks.

"I'm trying to kiss you and you're asking me about my tie" he laughs. "I bought you that tie" she says buttoning his top button of his white shirt.

"I'm not gonna wear one" He unbuttons the first two buttons. "Maybe that's a good idea" she says under her breath pulling him in by his collar. He can feel her breath in his lips and all he wants to do is kiss her.

"I have lipstick on" she whispers.

"So?"

"I don't want it to smudge" she says looking down at his lips. "Well let's stop this then cause I want to kiss you even more" he says but doesn't let go her.

"Shawn" he hums a yes moving his hands down her bum. "Let go" She gulps. "We have to go now" he nods taking her hand in his.

Shawn grips on to Athena's hand following her through the people through the lit up room.
"Athena!" Yvette yells grabbing her attention.

Athena pulls her in for a hug and she hugs Shawn too. "It looks amazing" Yvette tells her. "Well I didn't do it on my own" she laughs wrapping her arms around Shawn's upper arm.

"Shawn, you still performing tonight?" Yvette asks. "Yeah, I hope you don't mind my band and manager are coming later on"

"That's not a problem and Athena I want to introduce to some people from our office in New York" Yvette says pulling her hand.

"Erm Shawn are you coming?" She asks him.

"I'll stay here, go ahead" he kisses her forehead then let's her go, making his way to the bar.

"Shawn Mendes right?" A voice makes him turn around. "Yes and your Elliot". Shawn couldn't help but feel an unwanted anger towards him, yes he sorted everything with Athena but when another man likes your girl you can tell. In this case Shawn could tell Elliot and a thing for Athena.

"This is a great party don't you think? Athena chose the charity" Elliot says and Shawn simply smiles.

"You know, when we're talking about this she told me she wished she could donate to every charity. She's so kind hearted" Elliot sips his drink looking Shawn straight in the eyes.

"Yep that's her" Shawn picks up his drink. "You don't seem very happy" Elliot was trying to push his buttons, see how far he could get.

"Oh I am" Shawn puts down his glass. "I have my gorgeous girlfriend Athena here with me, I'm performing tonight and I'm the one to take her home tonight. So yes I am very happy" Shawn smirks pushing pass Elliot seeing Andrew stood by the stage.

"You look smug" Andrew teases seeing the grin on Shawn's face. "I'm just happy Andrew, you should be happy too" Shawn pokes his chest.

"Erm okay then, you're on right now" Andrew shoves him towards the stage.

He sits on the stool grabbing his guitar. "Hi everyone" he starts. Athena turns around seeing him already looking at her, she sends him a small wave and winks at her in return.

"Thank you Yvette for letting me perform and hosting this event" he claps his hands and everyone claps with him. "And now I'm going to sing a song for you" he laughs putting in his earpiece.

Athena laid her head on Shawn's shoulder, the ride home in the taxi was quiet but they didn't mind at all.

"Wait here" Shawn tells her getting out as the taxi stopped. He opens her side of the door and lifts her up effortlessly, she giggles holding her heels in her hand and the other wrapped around his neck.

"I can walk Shawn" she tells him as he kicks open the door. "I know you can but I want to carry you" he says getting in the lift pressing his floor number.

"I already know how strong you are" she laughs playing with his hair. He holds her tightly as they walk up to his door and he lets her down. Shawn pushes her back against the door and kisses her abruptly. Her hands fly up to his face cupping his jaw as he dominates the kiss.

Athena's knees grow weak as Shawn's hand squeezes her waist lightly, he pulls her closer to his body wrapping an arm around her waist. He kisses down her neck as he fiddles with his keys trying to unlock the door but he fails.

Her hand grabs the key and she turns around finding the right one, Shawn pushes her hair back kissing her shoulder gently. Athena opens the door throwing the keys to side and her shoes.

Shawn bends down lifting her up, meeting her lips again. He carries her to the kitchen putting her down on the counter. Athena bunches up her dress to her waist spreading her legs for Shawn to stand between.

He eagerly grabs her thighs pulling her closer to him as he kisses down her neck sucking on her skin.

"Shawn" a moan escapes her lips encouraging him.

He finds the hem of underwear and pulls the red lace down her legs and he shoves them in his pocket. She reaches out to his collar pulling him in.

"I love you" he mumbles tilting her head back. "I love you so much" the words come out of his mouth naturally. "Athena Elle Carter, I love you" he kisses down her chest.

"Shawn" she lets his name out tugging on his hair bringing his face up to meet her eyes. "I love you" she tells him resting her forehead against his.

"I love you, I love you Shawn" his heart races, it wasn't the first time they had said those words. But it was the first time both of them wanted the other to hear it, they needed to tell each other again and again.
