Lockhart entered the classroom. He stopped in front of Neville's desk and picked up Neville's copy of Travels with Trolls that had him on the cover page. "Me, Gilderoy Lockhart, Order of Merlin, third class, honorary member of the Dark Force Defense League, and five-time winner of Witch Weekly's Most Charming Smile Award -- but I don't talk about that. I didn't get rid of the Bandon Banshee by smiling at her." Lockhart said smiling at the class.

"I think that is the reason he got rid of her,"  Rose mumbled but luckily only Draco heard her, and he let out a soft laugh

"I think that is the reason he got rid of her,"  Rose mumbled but luckily only Draco heard her, and he let out a soft laugh. "I see you've all bought a complete set of my books -- well done. I thought we'd start today with a little quiz. Nothing to worry about -- just to check how well you've read them, how much you've taken in -- " He said handing out the test papers. "You have thirty minutes -- start -- now!"Rose looked down at the test paper before her.

1. What is Gilderoy Lockhart's Favorite colour?                                                                                                   2. What is Gilderoy's secret ambition?                                                                                                                          3. What in your opinion, is Gilderoy Lockhart's greatest achievement to date?

Rose rolled her eyes at the questions, an idea formed in her head and she started writing a bunch of nonsense down. Nothing that had anything to do with Gilderoy Lockhart.

Half an hour later he took the papers back and started to comment on each student's answers. Rose ignored it and looked down at her potions book. "Miss Potter, I have heard you are the brightest student along with Hermione Granger, but this test paper says different, why is that?" Lockhart asks which made Rose glance up at him, as he spotted her next to Draco.

"Well, you see Professor, I don't read books that are written by frauds." Rose smiled sweetly at him as some of the students burst out laughing. "I am no Fraud, Miss Potter," Lockhart said glaring at Rose.

"If you are not a fraud, Professor, where are the scars to prove that you have met vampire, werewolves, trolls or even spent a year with a yeti? because as far as I know if you had met any of those creatures, you would have some sort of scar." Rose says to Lockhart, who did not look happy, but he did not answer Rose's question either.

"Now be warned. It is my job to arm you against the foulest creatures known to wizardkind. You may find yourselves facing your worst fears in this room. Know only that no harm can befall you while I am here. All I ask is that you remain calm." Lockhart walked to a cage that was cover by a cloth, he completely ignored Rose, not that she minded.

"I must ask you not to scream. It might Provoke them." Lockhart lifted the cloth, it was a cage filled to the brim with Cornish pixies. "Yes, Freshly caught Cornish Pixies," Lockhart says, Rose raised her eyebrow at them, they looked angry for being stuck in a cage.

"Right then, let's see what you make of them," Lockhart says and he opened the cage. It was pandemonium. The pixies shot in every direction. Rose ducked underneath her desk, putting her books into her bag, not wanting to get them ripped, because then she would have to get new ones. Two pixies seized Neville by the ears and lifted him up. they hung Neville on the iron of the chandelier.

"Come on now -- round them up. They're only pixies." Lockhart says from the stairs that leads to his office. "Peskipiksi Pesternomi!" Lockhart shouted waving his wand, but nothing happened. The Pixies took his wand, and like the coward he was, he ran into his office, locking the door. The bell rung and Draco grabbed Rose by the arm and they ran out of the classroom.

The days flew by and when Rose knew it, it was weekend. Rose, Harry, Hermione and Ron was going to visit Hagrid, today. But when Rose and Hermione came down to the common room, Ron informed them that Oliver Wood, the Gryffindor Quidditch captain, called a team practice.

Rose, Hermione and Ron went down to the Quidditch field. They went to sit in the stands to watch the practice. Harry saw them and walked closer. "Aren't you finished yer?" Ron asked. "Haven't even started yet. Wood's been teaching us new moves." Harry says to them.

Rose heard the sound of a camera and turned and saw Colin taking picture of Harry, who was in the air. Rose looked towards the entrance of the stadium and saw several people in green robes entering. "Guys, we have trouble," Rose said standing up, walking down towards the two teams.

Flint! I booked the field for Gryffindor today." Wood says to Marcus Flint, who was the team captain for Slytherin. "I got a signed note here, from Professor Snape. I, Professor S. Snape, give the Slytherin team permission to practice today on the Quidditch field owing to the need to train their new Seeker." Flint read from the not.

"You've got a new seeker? Who?" Wood asked looking at the Slytherin players. From behind the six large figures came a seventh smaller boy, a smirk all over his pale face. It was Draco Malfoy.

"Aren't you Lucius Malfoy's son?" Fred asked Draco in dislikment. "Funny you should mention Draco's father. Let me show you the generous gift he's made to the Slytherin team." Flint said, and all seven of the players showed seven brand new Nimbus Two Thousand and One broomsticks.

Ron gasped at the broomsticks. "Good, aren't they? But perhaps the Gryffindor team will be able to raise some gold and get new brooms, too. You could raffle off those Cleansweep Fives; I expect a museum would bid for them." Draco says and the whole Slytherin team howled in laughter.

"At least no one on the Gryffindor team had to buy their way in. They got in on pure talent." Hermione said. The smug look on Draco's face flickered. "No one asked your opinion, you filthy little mudblood." Draco spat, Rose gasped, having read what the word meant. Flint jumped in front of Draco as Fred and George jumped at him. Ron pulled out his wand, pointing it at Draco. "You'll pay for that one, Malfoy." a loud bang echoed through the stadium and a jet of green light shot out of the wrong end of the wand, hitting Ron in the stomach, sending him backwards onto the grass.

"Ron! Ron! Are you all right?" Rose and Hermione ran towards Ron. Ron opened his mouth but it was not a word that came out. It was slugs.

They took him to Hagrid's because it was closer to the Quidditch pitch. They arrived at Hagrid's hut and knocked on the door. Hagrid let them come in and handed Ron a large copper basin. Saying it's better out than in.

Hagrid started making tea as Hermione and Rose sat down on Hagrid's big couch. They told Hagrid that Malfoy called Hermione a mudblood. Hagrid started explaining to Harry what it meant.

McGonagall found them as they started to make their way back to the castle. She informed Ron and Harry about their detention. Ron was in the trophy room while Harry was with Lockhart.
