"A Little Princess" AU

so I had this h*cking good idea the other day and-

*sharp inhale*

A LITTLE PRINCESS AU

with Sara as Roman, a wealthy son of Thomas Crewe who treats Roman like a prince

eventually he gets sent to a boys school bc Thomas is going off to war

there's a servant at the place named Virgil who no one talks to or acknowledges

Mr. Minchin, the headmaster, is strict and cruel and limits the boys' creativity

Picani is another teacher there who hates how Minchin runs things but is too shy to speak up about anything

as Roman grows more popular among the students, Deceit gets jealous and tries to sabotage him anyway he can

one day, Minchin gets the news that Thomas had died in combat, and left Roman penniless

out of "pity" Minchin lets Roman stay, but demotes him to a servant, and he now lives in the attic with Virgil

he learns that Virgil has lived there his entire life, treated as lower than dirt, which infuriates Roman

there's also a little boy named Patton who looks up to Roman as a substitute for the father he never had

and Logan, Deceit's friend who feels bad for Roman and doesn't always agree with Deceit, eventually bonds with him by stealing things from Deceit

in the house nearby, a rich man named Remy lives with another old man who's son had just returned from war and has amnesia

as things get worse and worse for Roman & Virgil, he relies on his imagination to make the best out of his situation

and then one day, the two of them wake up to attic richly decorated and a feast laid out for them

eventually, Roman visits Remy to give back his pet, a monkey named Somnia, and finds out that Thomas is alive and has amnesia, and isn't actually the son of the old man

then Mr. Minchin arrives and tries to arrest Roman for stealing(taking back what was rightfully his) a necklace from his dead mother

but then Thomas finally gets his memory back and saves Roman from being taken away

it also turns out that the diamond mines he was involved with wasn't a hoax after all, and now they're richer than most kings and queens

and ofc Roman begs Thomas to adopt Virgil, which he promptly does

and the two of them continue to go the school, except Minchin has been fired and Picani is the new headmaster, and ofc he's great

then Picani adopts Patton

Deceit finally gets over himself and makes up w/Roman

and it's all happy and good

also turns out Remy was the person who gave them all that good stuff in the attic

also also Picani x Remy is so pure

anyway that's the end have a good day kiddos ~kc
