" What?" Ruby looked around, she wasn't at the house anymore. A familliar voice called her, she almost froze. White petals blew in the wind, she stood up and looked at the direction it came from. It was a bit bright as she appeared to be in a forest with an opening ahead. With a few steps she already recognised the area, her pace quickened as she raced to the clearing. What she saw ahead of her made her run quicker. " Mom!"

" Ruby!" She jumped straight into her mother's arms with full force. " My sweet little rose." Summer kissed her forehead lovingly as they held each other tightly.

" Mom, why'd you leave me?" She asked in between tears. Summer stroked her hair softly to soothe her.

" Sweetie, look at me." She lifted Ruby's chin and wiped her tears. " I'm so sorry. I never meant to leave you like this. But please, can't you see? I've always been with you. For every memory we had together, I was there wasn't I?" Ruby nodded as tears threatened to fall again. " So you should take comfort in knowing, I will always be by your side." Ruby smiled as she nodded cheerfully.

" Ruby!" Yang called from another direction. " Mom!" She ran to join them in their reunion. " You really are here! This is awesome!" They laughed happily as they sat there together. Summer glanced at a slight distance and smiled at the two figures.

" Hello again, Qrow." She said with a gentle smile. He hesitated but Veena pushed him forward. " It's good to see you again, birdie."

" Crow, I'm a crow Summer. But, yeah. It's nice to see you." He said with one of his most genuine smiles. Veena watched this little family unite happily as she turned to walk away.

" Veena!" Ruby called her and attacked with a hug. " Thank you." She whispered.
