Ruby woke up feeling better than she ever did. It felt nice, like she's let go of everything. Knowing that her mother will always be by her side made her feel good. Yang was by her side, looking out the window while Qrow was taking a sip of coffee on a chair by her bed.

" Ruby," Yang greeted her with a smile.

" Hey, kiddo. Did you have a nice dream?" Qrow asked with a smile. She returned cheerfully, then a knock on the door interrupted them.

" Weiss?" Ruby gave her a confused look as her friend seemed to be hiding something as she entered the room. " Is something wrong?"

" Ruby, Yang. Thank goodness you're all okay." She said hugging both their friends. " Did she- Nevermind, we have to move. Get your things, we're leaving."

" What?" Yang seemed a bit alarmed. " Are we under attack?"

" Shh, not too loud." Weiss warned them as she creaked open the door and looked around. " We have to get out of here before she wakes up."

" Who?" Ruby whispered.

" Aris- or Veena..Ugh, whatever she calls herself. We gotta move." She said as she signalled Blake at the other end of the corridor. Slowly they descended the stairs much to the three's confusion. Halfway through, they paused as Summer became visible to their eyes. " Darn it." She said under her breath as footsteps echoed and a sleepy Veena was walking down the corridor. She yawned a little and pulled the blinds over her eyes. For a moment, they thought it was safe to move until something pulled off her binds.

" Quite doing that." She said lazily as it tugged her sleave.

" Where the hell are you going?" It asked them darkly. Weiss, Blake and Oscar readied their weapons. " Leaving already? Not even a goodbye, how rude. The lot of you are just a bunch of ingrates, we heal you-" Veena covered its mouth and gave them a bored expression.

" So you're leaving? Okay, close the door on your way out and try not to tell anyone looking for me that I'm here. Okay? Thanks." She said simply as she continued walking.

" You're letting us go?" Blake asked cautiously.

" Why'd she wanna keep us here anyway?" Yang asked raising a brow.

" Well, didn't she do something to you guys yesterday?" Oscar asked in a worried tone.

" She gave us a good nap, if that's what you're asking, pipsqueak." Qrow took a swig from his flask. Veena stumbled a bit as she held her gut.

" Veena, are you okay?" Ruby asked as the room relaxed a bit.

" Fine...Just, well, someone hit me in the gut yesterday." She said glancing at Qrow. " I'll be fine. Weren't you all leaving?"

" Wait," Weiss thought for a moment as she rolled her eyes and glanced at her to show attention. " Is your real name Veena Cloud? Why'd you hide from your siblings?" Veena gave her a grave look and was absolutely shocked. She looked away and decided to pay no heed as she hung her head.

" For someone like me, I'm not sure why but I just- I don't want to go home right now." She said quietly as she picked up her pace and was out of sight. The dark figure frowned at them as it followed her.

" Don't." Qrow said to Ruby as he held her back. " Come on, let's get out of here. The others are probably waiting for us already." He said as he led the group to leave the house. Yang slowed down a bit and paused. She thought for a moment and turned right back around. " Yang, where are you going?"

" I'm getting something." She called back.

" Well, be quick about it. We've already over welcomed our stay." Qrow said as he leaned at the doorframe to wait for his niece with the others. It was quiet for the most part, a bit concerning and awkward at the same. Then, they could hear some sort of argument going on in one of the rooms followed by gunshots which fairly alarmed them all. The silence was deafening, by instinct, they readied they weapons as they heard footsteps. " Yang?"

Veena appeared from the corridor with scraps of cloth in her hands. She leaned in a little from the top of the railings and let the scraps fall. Then, she moved to the other side of the corridor. Yang emerged after with a broad smile. She sighed at the sight of the blonde.

" Alright, I'll get dressed." She said lazily. " But I'm stepping out blind."

" Yeah, sure. Just don't keep us waiting." She climbed down the stairwell looking satisfied with herself.

" Sis, what did you do?" Ruby asked as she joined.

" If you guys forgot, we made a promise to her brother, remember?" She said crossing her arms. " I don't know what's really holding her back, but her siblings are looking for her. And just by looking in their eyes, you can see how much they cherish her."
