Finn

The tip of my sword made contact with the scales of the beast, but didn't do any damage. To the beast, of course. But to me, not so much. The beast awoke, and threw me to the ground. I started running as fast as I could. I found refuge in a small, cave like area carved into the wall. I needed a way to see the beast, without it seeing me. I heard that if it looks you in the eyes, you would be frozen. Petrified, if you will. That's when I remembered I had my phone in my pocket. I quickly pulled it out, using the back to see where the beast was. I could see it slithering towards me, and so I decided that it was my chance. I ran out of the cave, turned my head, and jabbed my sword straight into the mouth of the beast. I could see it's body lighting up, as if it was going to explode, and I took cover. When I came out, all I saw was a golden case, a pile of ashes, and my sword.

But, the sword had changed. It now had a simple image of the beast, etched into the hilt. I sheathed the sword, grabbed the golden case, and ran back up the stairs to find Ez.
