Monse's POV:
My alarm blares and I roll over to turn it off but Cesar, even though he's asleep, didn't let me move. How can he sleep through this? "Let's stay home." He groans as he wakes up. "No, lets get up and go to school." I push his shoulders and he rolls over in defeat. "School is for stupid people." He throws his hands over his face. I need to get ready so I don't respond. "I'm gonna take a shower you better be at your house when I get out." I kiss him good bye and I lock the bathroom door so he can't come in. About twenty minutes later I get out of the bathroom and Cesar's under the covers on his phone. "I told you we're not staying home! School just started yester-" "Relax I went home, you just take forever." He throws the blanket off but doesn't get up. "Ok I just need to change." He nods and but he keeps looking at his phone. "Ok I'm gonna drop my towel and jump into bed." I say trying to get him to look up. "Sounds good." He's definitely not listening. I just go and change 'cause I can't deal with him. "Come on we have to go." I grab his arm and he just pulls me onto the bed. "Oscar wants me to do a few things after school and I won't be back until like six." He says as he kisses my forehead. "Ok I guess I'll hangout with Ruby and Jamal. Ruby said his mom told him something urgent but I guess we were kinda busy last night." I say. "I don't remember, can you show me what we were doing?" He smirks. "Maybe later because now we have to go to school." I sit up and I make him leave the house.*Lunch time*
Cesar's POV:
"Ruby said he's gonna tell us the news at lunch. I swear if it's something stupid-" Ruby cuts off Monse, "It's not, it's name is Olivia. Olivia that's Monse and that's Cesar." He says as he points at us. "Hey." Monse says. "Welcome to Freeridge." I smile. "So how'd you meet Ruby?" Monse asks as Jamal and Ruby shake their heads. "My parents got deported and I'm staying with his family." Olivia says sadly. We just nod and they sit down. "So do you like it here so far?" I ask. "Yeah, I only came last night but everyone's pretty nice." "It's 'cause you're hot." Jamal says and Olivia just laughs. "Ignore Jamal he's... well he's just a teenage boy." Monse shakes her head. "It's fine they're pretty nice." Olivia says. "Shit I got to go, I told Oscar I'd go a little earlier." I say as I grab my bag quickly. I told him I'd see him outside ten minutes ago. I start walking away but I turn around quickly. "Bye I'll see you around four." I kiss Monse and I run off. I get to Oscar's car and he doesn't look happy. "What the fuck you said you'd be here twenty minutes ago." He says as he slams on the gas pedal before I can even close my door. "Fifteen minuets ago sorry Ruby was introducing us to his friend who moved in." I can't wait 'til I'm done with this bull shit.*5:30 Monse's house*
I knock on the door and when she opens it she looks even more pissed than Oscar. "You know I thought something happened to you. You said you'd be here at four and it's-" I kiss her and I walk in. "I'm glad you care enough to worry but you know it's not like the Santos are a nine to five I can't always be on time." She nods her head. We sit on the couch and she still doesn't say a word. "Whats wrong?" I pull her close and she leans her head on my chest. "I was just really worried." She kisses me and she stands up. "I heard a few sirens around three and when you didn't come I thought you got arrested." She grabs a water bottle and throws me one and when she sits down she doesn't even make I contact so I pull her back over to me. "I feel so stupid for feeling like this 'cause I know you're gonna be fine but I still-" I kiss her forehead and she stops rambling. "I like that you worry but I don't want you to stress." "I wish we could just run away." I lift her on to my lap and hold her. "One day we will. San Diego?" I ask. "Mhmm San Diego." "I never want you to feel like you're stuck here and I'm gonna make sure you don't have to worry. I got you, ok?" She nods. "We got this." She kisses me. "By the way Ruby and everyone's coming in few minutes." She says as she checks the time. "Why?" I say dramatically. "Because they're our friends and we're not gonna be that couple." "How are they getting in?" I ask and she looks so confused. I squeeze her and she starts laughing like crazy. "Stooop." She tries pushing me back and I end up on top of her. "You read my mind this is exactly how I wanted to spend my night." I lean in to kiss her and then someone knocks. "Great." I groan. I give her a small kiss and I open the door. "Great timing guys." Monse pushes me out of the doorway and lets them in. I sit down and before Monse can sit somewhere else I pull her down next to me.
Monse's POV:
Cesar pulls me down by my waist and I can feel someone staring I turn and I see Olivia giving us a stank face. "So do you guys wanna watch something or..." I ask. "Well I wanted to share the big news, I'm playing on Friday." Jamal says in a terrified voice. "They won't actually put you in, will they?" Cesar asks. "I hope not, if they do you're dead." Ruby says. "Ruby!" Cesar and I yell. "Why can't he play?" Olivia looks confused. "I'm scared of getting a concussion or worse... death." Jamal shakes. "Why don't you just quit?" Olivia asks. "Why don't you just stab my dad in the heart!" Jamal says dramatically. "It's a big deal his dad was a legend." I say and Olivia doesn't even acknowledge me. Why doesn't she like me? Is it 'cause of Cesar? I decided to test my theory and kiss him. "Wow pda." Olivia mumbles. Wow it took her two minutes to hate me and like my boyfriend well she's really fake.
