Cesar's POV:
I wake up the next morning and Monse's already gone. Maybe she went to school early or something. I don't stress about it but once school is over and I don't see her I start to worry. I get to work with Jamal but my mind isn't there. "Have you seen Monse?" I ask. "I'm not supposed to tell you where she is." Jamal says bluntly. "Everything was fine last night what the hell happened?" I ask. "Mari knew I was hiding something and I might have accidentally told her that you cheated." Jamal says in one breath. "Why the hell would you do that?!" I scream. "Girls talk but they're not just girls they're cousins! Of course she was gonna tell Monse." I know I'm the one in the wrong but I can't stop myself from being pissed off. How could he be so stupid? "Unlike you and Monse, me and Mariana have a relationship built on trust! If I lied I would've fucked myself!" He bursts. "Where is she Jamal?" I ask. "She's spent the day at Olivia's but if I was you I'd find another place to sleep." He says. "I gotta go can you cover me?" I ask. "It's ok, I can handle it." I hear a stupid smug voice say. "I thought you didn't work here anymore." I tell Paula. "No, we're not fucking anymore you can relax." She laughs. "I don't have time for this shit." Before I can even walk outside Monse storms inside. "I'm so-" Monse pushes me to the side and keeps walking. "I'll deal with you later." She says. "You Paula?" She asks. "Yeah, you must be Mon-" Paula starts and Monse punches her. "That's for sleeping with my boyfriend." She says calmly when Paula hits the ground. "Did you tell him where I've been all day?" She asks Jamal. "He forces it out of me!" Jamal throws his hands up. "I'll be anywhere else." She says. "Bebé please just talk to me." I chase after her and she does a sharp turn and looks me dead in the eye. "Don't do this to me Cesar. You lied to me, you did this to yourself and if we talk about it I might actually forgive you." Her voice cracks and I know what I have to do but I can't just let her go. "Then just forgive me! I thought you hated me." I try to fight her but she's stubborn. "You could've told me the truth when I asked you." She says. "I didn't want to mess this up again." I explain. I could've at least tried to come up with a better excuse. "Well you did. Leave me alone I don't want to see you right now." She turns around and I run in front of her. I don't know what to tell her and I just freeze. "You want me to sleep somewhere else?" I ask. "No, my room's filled with pictures of you I just can't be around you at all, I'll be somewhere else and you should go back to work.Monse's POV:
I walk back into Olivia's room with a bag filled with my clothes. "Jamal said you were sleeping somewhere else." Ruby says when I go in the room. "Yeah and now he can't tell Cesar where I am. Where's Olivia? We have a lot to talk about." I say as I look around the room. "Bathroom." He says. I knock on the door and there's no answer. "Olivia?" I say. Still no answer. "Are you sure she's in there?" I ask. "Yeah she went in like ten minutes ago." He shrugs. I take the key off from on top of the door and on lock it. She's looking down at the floor shocked. "Are you ok?" I ask. "My water just broke." She mumbles. "Are you sure? Aren't you only like six and a half months?" I ask quickly and nervously. "Call an ambulance." She says and I nod. Everything happens so quickly from there and next thing I know we're all back in the hospital. "Monse are you ok?" Jamal asks. "Last time I was in a hospital I just got shot but this isn't about me." I tell him. "Wait, did anyone call Latrelle?" I ask. "No." They all say in unison. "Jamal can you call Mari I'm really not in the mood to be yelled at." I beg. "I'll do it." Ruby says. "You know what they're my family I got it." I say quickly. "No!" He bursts out. "I need something to do I can't just keep sitting here waiting for someone from this crap hole hospital to tell us something!" He says a little too loudly. "Ok here take my phone." I hand it to him and he walks away. "What are here chances?" Jamal asks. "What just because I'm a girl I'm supposed to know this?" I ask. "That's not what I meant! You know that's not what I meant." He says. "I know, just trying to lighten the mood." I shrug. "I googled it, it's around eighty percent without the added risk of her only being fifteen." I tell him. "A piece of advice, don't be so morbid around Olivia, Ruby or Latrelle." Jamal says. "Sorry." I nod. A few minutes later Latrelle and Mariana come into the waiting room with Ruby. "Did she have the baby yet?" Latrelle asks. "Ruby's mom is back there with the doctors she's gonna tell us if they can slow this down or if surgery's the only option." I explain. "Why didn't anyone call me?" Cesar asks when he runs in. "Are you seriously thinking about yourself right now?" I ask him. "Is she ok?" He asks. "We don't know yet." Ruby mumbles. His mom comes in and she looks like she's been crying. "She has to go into surgery, they're getting her ready now." She says. "Is the baby gonna live?" Latrelle asks. "They're doing the best they can." She tells us.
