Monse's POV:
"Should I call the police?" I ask Jamal. "You know you can't do that." He says. "What if he's dead?" I ask. "Trust me, Cesar can take care of himself. I'm sure he's just talking it out with your dad. Worst case they got in a fight." He says. "I'll give it until eight and then I'm calling the police." I say. "He doesn't want that!" Jamal tries to persuade me. "He also doesn't want to be murdered." I point out. "If you call the police and he's doing or has already done something illegal they could arrest him." Jamal explains and I nod. I know but I can't just let him die. Every time my phone goes off I hope it's Cesar and every single time it isn't him I feel more and more hopeless. Minutes turn into hours and he's still not around. When Jamal goes to the bathroom I sneak out and run to my dad's house. I bang on the door and he opens it. "I know you're not talking to me but I can't find Cesar and I'm really worried." Tears stream down my face and he just looks at me with a blank face. "I haven't seen him I'm really sorry." He says and now I've lost all hope. "I'm beginning you dad if you know anything just tell me." I plead. "I have to go." He shuts the door and I'm left there shaking. "Please!" I lean against the closed door and cry, he has to know something. I feel two hands on my shoulders and I scream. "Relax its just me." Oscar says as he pulls me away from the house. "You can't be out here making all that noise, I think I know where Cesar is but I need your help." Oscar says. "How can I help?" I ask as I wipe away my tears. "You know some of the prophets so I need you to convince your friends to let you into their place and when they're distracted me and some Santos will check it out." He's joking, he has to be. "Seriously?" I ask. "If you don't try this Cesar could die." Oscar says bluntly. "I need to stop by Jamal's and change I'll be back in twenty minutes." I sigh as I walk away.

Jamal's POV:
"Great now Monse's missing too!" I yell. "I'm right here." She says from behind me. "Oh my God!" I shriek. "Wow that was unnecessary. Whatever I need to go." She starts grabbing clothes like she didn't just disappear for an hour. "Where are you going?" I ask. "Don't worry, I'll be safe." That isn't what I asked but ok. "Did you find Cesar?" I follow her out of my room. "No... maybe? I don't know." She huffs. "Is it safe for you to be outside?" Why am I asking so many questions? Damn it, that was another question. "I need to change." She shuts the bathroom door. "Monse, that wasn't an answer!" I say through the door. She doesn't make any noise and when I knock she doesn't say anything. I open the door and the bathroom window's open. "Why does she always climb through bathroom windows?" I ask myself.

Monse's POV:
We pull up two blocks away from where Oscar thinks they're hiding Cesar. "Try not to get shot again." Oscar says. I get out of the car and walk to the house. I knock on the door and pray it's someone I know. "Monse, where've you been I haven't see you in months!" DeAndre, the only prophet I knew before moving here, says. I let out a sigh of relief. "I missed you guys, I think I used to see you more when I lived in Inglewood!" I say. "Come on in then, you want a beer?" He asks and I nod. I feel all the other prophets' eyes on me but I act like I don't notice. "So how've you been Finnie?" Hearing someone other than my dad calling me that when he's not even talking to me just hurts. "I want to say good but you guys did shoot me." I laugh sarcastically. It gets really quite shit. "How've you been?" I ask awkwardly. "Tense. If the Santos don't stop fucking with us soon then shits really gonna go down." He laughs. "I thought shit was already going down?" I ask. "Nah, we haven't even started." He shakes his head. "Where's the bathroom?" I ask. "Right over there, second door on the right." He points down a short hallway. Once no one's looking I start opening every door I can. The second once I try is locked. I touch the top of the door frame but there's no key. "Cesar?" I whisper through the door and I hear some bags rustling. "Monse, what are you diving here? How'd you find me?" He asks. "I can't talk. You'll be out of there soon." I say. "And who's gonna let him out?" I hear a prophet say. I turn around but as soon as I open my mouth I realize no words are planning on coming out. He unlocks the door, pushes me in, and locks it again. It's pitch black and I don't even try to get up. "Why are you here?" Cesar asks when he eventually finds where I fell. "I'm on a rescue mission." I laugh sadly. "You shouldn't have come." He hugs me. I might not be able to see him but just knowing he's here and alive makes me feel so much better even though we are definitely screwed. "You're brother drove me and a couple Santos... I was supposed to be the distraction. I fucked up." I sigh. "That doesn't matter, right now what matters is getting you out of here." He says. "How? It's not like we can break down the door." I sigh. "I don't know Monse. I'll figure it out I just need a minute." We sit in silence and darkness for a few minutes until reality sets in and Cesar realizes this is probably the end and there is no way we're getting out unless Oscar helps us.
