*February 14th*
Monse's POV:
"Baby! Happy Valentine's Day!" I wake up when Cesar throws himself on top of me. "Get off you fat ass!" I scream. "I love you bebé!" He laughs. "I love you too but you're gonna kill me if you don't get off me." I push him off and he pulls me on top of him. "No, we gotta go to school and I need to brush my teeth." I laugh. "Why are you always so dirty minded?" He asks. "Maybe I just wanted to be near my girlfriend on Valentine's Day." I raise my eyebrow at him and he starts laughing like crazy. "Happy Valentine's Day." I kiss him and I get up and start getting ready for school. "Actually, I thought we could just stay home today." He suggests. "No, I missed so much school after Olivia's quince I'm already behind." I tell him as I look through my clothes. "One day isn't gonna do anything." He tries to persuade me. "No, besides Latrelle's picking me up after school he said it was urgent family stuff." I say. "No!" He yells out of nowhere. "I just mean it's Valentine's Day so I want to be with you all day whatever he needs to tell you can wait till tomorrow or till after the dance." He's hiding something. He always fidgets or gets really stiff when he's lying. "What aren't you telling me?" I ask. "What? I tell you everything you dummy." He's not a good liar. "Well I can tell you're hiding something." I tell him. "I don't like liars." I shrug. "What do you mean?" He asks. "I'm not lying I told you I have to keep some secrets." He fake laughs. "I get that but you just admitted you're hiding something after you already told me you tell me everything." I explain. "I walked right in to that one." He rubs the back of his neck with his hand. "What if I told you I had plans for tonight and I wanted it to be a surprise?" I can't tell if I believe him. "I'd have to ask more questions to make sure you're telling the truth." I cross my arms. "So I can't surprise you now?" He asks. "I think I've had enough surprise to last a life time." I laugh. "You'll like this one I promise." Is he being serious or is he just saying he has something planned tonight so I'll leave him alone? "Monse have a little faith in me. I promise tonight is going to be the most interesting Valentine's Day you've ever had." He says. "Weird choice of words." I tell him. "I don't wanna give away too much." He kisses me before he walks out of the room. I'm suspicious but kind of excited. I feel bad canceling on Latrelle but I don't want to ruin whatever Cesar does or doesn't have planned.Monse's Phone:
M: Hey Cesar just told me we have plans cant see you after school sorry
Latrelle: It's important
M: I'm sure it can wait a dayWhen he doesn't reply I know he's pissed. It couldn't be that important or he would've just called me or something.
Cesar's POV:
I go into the bathroom and I'm freaking out. What the hell am I supposed to do? If she sees Latrelle today he's gonna tell her everything and if I don't come up with something to do fast she'll know I lied. I call Jamal and Ruby 'cause they're a lot better at the romantic crap. "What am I supposed to do?" I ask them. "I think you should just tell her the truth, you're a crappy boyfriend." Ruby says. "Monse is a complicated girl, what you have to do is grab your go bag and run." Jamal laughs. "Because you're dead when she finds out you lied." He adds. "Guys I'm serious, it's a big deal." I beg them for help. "Do what every crappy boyfriend does and do one of those cheap dates." Ruby suggests. "Yeah, throw a blanket down in your backyard, light some candles, remind her why she likes you." Jamal says. "Have you see my backyard?" I ask. I'm seriously starting to stress. "Don't worry, Ruben's Fancy Festivity's has got it covered. All you have to do is keep her busy and make sure she doesn't go to the backyard." Ruby says. Monse walks into the bathroom wearing a bra and shorts. "That'll be easy. I gotta go." I hang up on them. "I need to take a shower." She tells me. "Oh good, I need to take a shower too we can save some water." I smirk. "You've used that excuse before." She laughs. "Yeah? How about this?" I ask. I grab her by her waist and carry her into the shower. "Cesar! My clothes." she glares at me and I can't stop smiling. "You were gonna wash them anyways." I shrug. "You're an ass hole." She tries to hold back a smile and she shakes her head. "Let me help you out then." I unclasp her bra and throw it over the shower curtain. "What the fuck?" I hear Oscar scream. "One of you two wanna tell me why a wet bra just hit me in the face?!" He yells. "What the hell, why are you in the bathroom?" I ask. "This is my house!" He huffs. "We really gotta fix that lock." Monse laughs. "You guys realize you're supposed to take the clothes off before you get in the shower, right?" Oscar asks. "Yeah, Cesar's still learning!" Monse tells him. "Are you leaving yet?" I ask. "I need to brush my teeth I'm in a gang I'm not an idiot." Is he serious right now? "I'm glad you care so much about your dental hygiene but can you just brush in the kitchen?" Monse asks. "You better clean that shower if y'all are fucking in there." He laughs before he walks out and Monse's eyes get wide. "That's why we can't shower together, now get out!" She laughs. "I can't." I shrug. "Why not?" She asks. "You've been standing here all wet without a bra on there's no chance in hell I'm getting out anytime soon." She rolls her eyes and I kiss her.
