Kaia's Pov:
I'm checking on my patients and doing rounds when I pass by Oscar's room. I look at him laying there and he doesn't even look like himself anymore. I look around and everyone's busy doing there own thing so I slip into his room for a quick second. "Hey Oscar... you know you seriously gotta get up. Your brother's living with me and your son's growing up without you. His birthday's in three weeks it'd be pretty cool if he could have you there." I sigh. I put my hand over his Santo cross and chills run up my spine. "This didn't have to be your life." I smile but tears are starting to form. I move my hand and he flinches. "What the hell?" I mumble. "Oscar, if you can hear me you gotta get up." I tell him. I touch his hair, that is probably a lot longer than he'd be ok with, and I run my fingers through it. He moves again. I run outside and I look for his doctor. "Hey nurse Patty have you seen dr. Abrams?" I ask as I look around. "No, is everything ok?" She sounds a little worried. "Oscar moved." I say excitedly. "I can go check it out but it happens sometimes in comatose patients and you know that." She leads the way to his room and I try to keep myself from getting excited. "Oscar, you gotta move again." I say frantically. We stand there for about five minutes and nothing happens. "Wait, let me try one more thing." I say quickly as nurse Patty turns around. I grab his hand and I give it the tightest squeeze that I can. He flinches again. "See!" I say happily. "It's a normal reaction." She sighs. "Oh my God... Will you just wake up loser!" I scream and I hit his chest. "Kaia, I know I don't need to tell you how stupid that was!" She screams. I hear him cough a little and when I turn around he starts to gag. Usually someone gaging when you look at them is a bad thing but this time... I couldn't be happier. The had to intubate him when he came in because we wasn't breathing on his own and now he's finally rejecting it. Before I can even hold his hand I'm being forced out of the room so the nurses and doctor can get to work. I call Cesar but he doesn't pick up. "Hey Cesar, call me back... it's about Oscar." I try to sound calm. About an hour later nurse Patty comes out and finds me. "His throat is still sore so you'll be doing most of the talking but he's there if you want to see him. "Thank you!" I hug her and she gets tense. I walk back into Oscar's room and he looks pissed. "When can I get out of here?" He asks.  "You still have a long way to go. You have to do physical therapy and we have some tests to run." I tell him and he shakes his head. "I'll see you later." He says. He unhooks himself from the machines and rips out his IV. "You realize you don't have any pants on, right?" I laugh. "I gotta go deal with some shit can you get me some clothes or something?" He asks. "No, I'm working." I remind him. "Doesn't have to be my clothes." He sounds mad. "I'll see what we have in the lost and found." I sigh. I get up and start to leave but I hear a loud thud. "You haven't walked in weeks what'd you think was gonna happen?" I ask as I help him back up. "I really wish you'd stay." I tell him sincerely. "I'll be back don't stress." He shrugs. I end up paying a doctor twenty dollars to borrow his clean gym clothes so I don't have to dig through the gross lost and found. "Here." I throw the clothes at Oscar and he almost falls over when he tries to catch them. "Let me help you." I roll my eyes. I take off his hospital gown. "When did you get another cross?" I ask. "Depends what day it is." I can tell he hates me helping him. "You can barely walk where are you gonna go?" I ask him. "I took your phone and called Alejandro." He says as he hands me my phone. Before I can even think of what to say he stumbles out of the room and Alejandro meets him at the end of the hall. "Where'd he go?" Patty asks. "He needed to handle something." I shrug. "Do you want to get fired?" She yells. "I didn't know what to do know one trained me for this." I leave the room quickly without saying another word.

Oscar's POV:
I get in the car and every step hurts but I need to find Cesar. "You remember what happened?" Alejandro asks. "Someone shot at me and I swerved or something." I lie. "Yeah." He grips on the steering wheel a little tighter. "So, where's Cesar?" I ask. "He's been staying with Kaia." He says. "You know where he is right now?" "No, maybe with that one girl." He says. "Let's go." He knows not to question me but I think he knows what I'm about to do. I decided to wait outside and when he leaves the house we speed to Kaia's and I use my key so I'm waiting for him when he gets there.

Cesar's POV:
I walk inside Kaia's house carrying Junior while he sleeps. I switch on the lights and I notice some shit was knocked over. I walk quietly into Junior's room to put him to sleep. "Who's kid?" I hear Oscar ask and I jump a little. "Your kid." I try to sound like I'm not terrified and it's not working. "Put him somewhere else we got to talk." He glares at me. "About what?" I ask. "About how you're gonna leave Freeridge." He threatens.
