Monse's POV:
"What do you mean she left Latty with Latrelle?!" I yell at Ruby when he comes back to the kitchen. "I think she had a meltdown or something she just came in and went to sleep." He whispers. "Why are you whispering?" I ask. "Because we need to come up with a plan to make her go back!" He yells. "Why? You wanted her back and now she's here." I point out. "But Latty's not here and she's probably not safe." He says. "Latrelle can take care of her for a few days." I shrug. "Yeah until someone kidnaps her and tries to get ransom from Latrelle!" Ruby says. "Olivia's great but what was she thinking when she got knocked up with that crackhead's baby?" He asks. "I think you have to do crack to be a crackhead." I mumble. "Seriously how desperate could she have been?" Ruby says and I see Olivia standing in the hallway. "Ruby, shut up." I mumble. "No, if I knew she was that kind of girl I wouldn't have convinced her parents to let her stay in California." He shakes his head. "I just needed a break you would too after everything I've been through. Being a mom isn't easy and I'm sorry that I left my baby with her dad but I'm not sorry I had her." Olivia cries. "Olivia I'm so sor-" Ruby starts but Olivia shakes her head and starts talking again. "I let you babysit her all the time and you aren't her dad Latrelle is you need to get over it!" She whines. "Trust me I'm over it and I'm over you! Your kid deserves better than what you're giving her and if you won't look out for her I will!" He declares. Something shifts in Olivia and she just walks away. "Was I too hard on her?" Ruby asks. "What?" "I was trying to get her to go back to Latrelle. You really think I didn't hear her loud ass footsteps?" He laughs. "You really pissed her off Ruby." I feel like I should go after her but maybe Ruby isn't totally clueless.

Olivia's POV:
"Hey, you need to get away from this and my parents still haven't met Latty so if you can get us to Mexico I have a place we can stay." I tell Latrelle when I get into the dump we have been hiding out in. "Nah, I can't leave my family and I got a life here I'm not just gonna leave everything for no reason." He shakes it off like it's no big deal. "Ok, you want a reason? I'll leave without and I'll take Latty with me. You won't ever see either one of us again." I threaten him. "No, you can't take my daughter." He acts like this is his choice. "She's my daughter and you can't stop me." I shrug. "You can't take care of her without me and we both know it." He says. "I'll have my parents." I remind him. "Yeah 'cause they did such a good job with you." He laughs. "I'll leave tonight." I swear. "How?" "I can find a way don't worry about me!" I start to grab my clothes and he stops me. "What?" I yell. "Fine, you win." He sighs.

Cesar's POV:
*earlier that day*
"Hey where's your mom?" I ask Junior. "She fell asleep on the floor." He points into the kitchen. At first I thought she was drunk but then I see she's in her scrubs. "Hey, did you just get home?" I ask. "Hmm, what?" She shoots up straight right away. "Damn it! Sorry, I was supposed to get Junior to daycare an hour ago." She runs her hands over her face. "Why were you on the floor?" I ask. "I was grabbing his snacks and I just fell asleep. I've been taking everyone's shifts and I have like three seconds to sleep a night." She sighs. She checks the time again and she runs out of the room. "She's late for the restaurant." Junior says while he swings his legs on the couch. "How many jobs do you have?" I ask when she runs back out. "Two... no three I help my friend clean hotel rooms on the weekends." She says quickly. "Damn, can I help?" I ask. "No, we're fine. Junior let's go!" She says as she ties her long hair in a messy bun. "I can watch him if you want." I offer. "Thanks but it's ok we always make time." She smiles. "What about school?" I ask. "I dropped out when I got Junior back." She answers. "Relax, I'll take Junior you go to work." I demand. "Thank you!" She says as she kisses Junior's head and runs out the door. "Is she always like that?" I ask. "Yup!" He nods. "Come on we gotta go see your aunty Monse before she tracks me down and puts my head on a stick." I laugh. "That's mean." He says with a straight face. "I'm just kidding she's really nice, let's go." I give him a piggyback ride and we catch the bus and head over to the block. I knock on Monse's door and no one answers. I'm about to call her when I see Olivia storm out of Ruby's house. I walk over and they're both sitting at the table whispering. "Is that her?" Junior tries to whisper but he's way too loud. "What the fuck?! When did you get out of the hospital?" Monse runs up and hugs me. "You're not mad?" I ask. "No, why would I be?" She asks. "I kinda disappeared you usually freak out when I do that." I point out. "Not this time, I'm just happy you're ok." She's about to kiss me when Junior starts pulling on her skirt. "Are you going to put his head on a stick?" He asks. "Who's this?" She asks. "My nephew, Junior." I tell her. "Oh, no shit. Why does he think I want to put your head on a stick?" She asks. "Because tío thinks you're crazy!" He laughs before he runs off. "I never said." I put my hands up quickly.
