Calum's POV
As soon as we get into her car, Denna pulls a scarf out of the backseat and says "Put this over your eyes and shut up."
"Why?"
She smirks and says "Because I said so."
I roll my eyes, but put it on anyways. "Happy?"
"Very."
"Can you at least turn on the radio or something so it isn't so quiet in here?"
"Do it yourself loser."
"Excuse me but i'm blind."
"So am I. Now what?'
"You're not blind. If you're blind then why the hell are you driving me? STOP THE CAR!"
"Idiot, contacts."
"Oh. Now seriously. Radio."
I hear a little click, and a bit of shuffling. Then, a song comes on and she yells "OH MY GOD I LOVE THIS SONG!"
I laugh a little, not knowing what song it is.
"I NEVER WANNA BE YOUR EX-MAN I'LL NEVER YOU FEEL IGNORED. YOU CAN GO AND FIND YOUR NEXT MAN BUT I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE WAITING FORRRRRR!"
"Dude, what is this? Shouldn't I be singing this to you?"
"True, do you know the lyrics?"
"No..."
"COME A LITTLE CLOSER WANNA BE THE ONE TO EXPLORE." she stops singing to laugh an adorable little laugh, and then countinues, "OOH I WANNA FEEL YOUR BODY."
"Damn girl, maybe Ashton isn't the only one being laid tonight." I joke.
She gasps so loud it's literally audible over the song blasting so loud.
"OH MY GOD CALUM IT'S A DAMN SONG I CAN'T BREATHE WOW." she yells while laughing, and shoves me a bit.
i smirk, "Don't lie, you liked it."
"Psssshhhh nahhhhhh."
"Okay buddy." I chuckle
"Buddy? Damn I thougt I was your girlfriend."
"Nope, you're my ex-man." I reply, referencing back to the damn song.
"Are you breaking up with me?"
We both quit the jokes and just burst out laughing, enjoying the rest of the song in a silence filled with barely being able to breathe from laughing too hard.
"Wow I missed you." I whisper.
"I missed you too. That was a long week."
"Yeah, Plus, now we have to get down to work with your math."
"Oh c'mon Calum, it's New Years eve and you want to do math? Lameeeee."
"Ahem, there is never a wrong time to think about school young lady."
She laughs, and doesn't say anything.
It makes me feel awkward, since silence kills me.
It's so hot here, I wonder if she's questioned my sweater yet?
Maybe she had and she's just being polite and not asking.
Hopefully.
"So have you talked to the guys recently?"
"No, not since you were in the hospital, by the way, how are you?"
"That took you a while, I'm fine now. I had amnesia but I got my memory back the day you left."
"So you're fine?" I ask, to assure myself.
"I'm fine."
I don't have any other conversations starters, since my social skills literally suck, so thankfully, she says "We're here!"
"Thank god. Can I take this off now?"
"Mmmm no. One second."
She comes out of the car and my door opens.
"Okay take my hand and come with me."
I struggle to find her hand, and eventually, she gives up on me and just grabs me by the waist and yanks me out.
I let out a little shriek, her grip hurting my cuts.
"What's wrong?" she asks, letting go of me.
I can't tell her the truth.
"I- Nothing. Why?"
"That was a pretty damn girls scream for 'nothing'. Don't lie to me."
I have to Denna. I'm sorry.
"I thought you were someone else..?"
"Oh."
Did she fall for it?
"Well, it's just me, so c'mon."
Since she said no doubts, I assume she had none.
"Okay so where are we?" I ask while she pulls me down a path or something that feels as bumpy as... dirt and rocks?
"You'll see. You'll love it!"
"How can you be so sure?" I playfully tease.
"True, but I'm pretty sure. And we're here. Ready?" I nod, "Okay, take off the scarf!"
