Chapter fifty-two of 'The Boy In The Basement':
The way someone acts says one thing, when they speak it says another thing. When they sit down and talk to you about their past, that says it all. No one can judge people by their cover. They need to get to know them. Many people judge us based on how we act and talk. I hate it.
Liam is that person that you can't judge by his cover. I am that person. Harry, Zayn, Kathy, and Dad are also included in this list.
Liam's story is. . . I don't know; it's different from other one's you're probably used to hearing. Maybe you've heard this one, and that's okay. But to me, this is different.
"Now you may judge me, just like every other asshole on this planet," he muttered once he finished talking. I was still so shocked with all those details I consumed. Suicide. Reminds me of Gemma. Which also reminds me: we still need to investigate about her. I know Harry will appreciate it whole heartily.
"We aren't going to judge you, man." Harry said lowly. Liam sighed and racked his fingers through his already messed up hair. Liam's eyes were red, due to him tearing up, and his nose was running because he was sniffling.
"Is there anything else you guys wanna know?" he asked, almost curiously. I looked over at Harry and shrugged. He bit his lip and rubbed his forehead.
What about our baby? We need to ask and see if he knows what will happen once it's gone.
I took a quick moment to cherish when he said "our baby" instead of "your baby". The littlest things he says that can make my heart swell, no matter the situation.
"We have something else we'd like to ask you, but something has been on my mind," I trailed off, furrowing my eyebrows, and looking away from Harry to Liam. He cocked his head to the side, telling me to ask him what was on my mind.
"Do you have any powers?"
"No," he said almost too quickly, which made me raise an eyebrow. He pursed his lips and sighed, "Okay, I really don't have any powers beside hating everyone." This made me laugh, which also made him chuckle.
"Enough with the jokes," said Harry, "We have a serious topic now." Liam nodded.
"The baby inside of her," Harry's arm-which was wrapped around my waist- absently mindedly rubbed my stomach; the same way I do on my own. I smiled, feeling the butterflies in there move. Man, I was hoping I could be able to feel the baby kick, but we both know that won't happen.
We've talked about it: we're waiting. I need my schooling, and I'm pretty sure Dad would feel a lot better about that decision. Harry said I don't need to worry about him pressuring me into anything, which I'm glad is the case because a lot of guys will pretend to love you for sex, and the minute they find out you're pregnant, they're off in a heart beat.
"We need to know what will happen to her when it's gone. Do you have any idea what will happen, Liam?" Liam looked at us with what looked like sympathy- but I'm not sure.
Liam's P.O.V
This couple is so oblivious. I actually thought they'd know what would happen once that baby inside her is completely gone.
"You guys really don't know?" I asked, my mouth hanging open ever so slightly. They gave me a weird look, shaking their head "no".
"Alice will gain all those powers your baby would have." They gasped. How could they not know this? I thought maybe they'd be smart enough to at least ask the Warriors or something- oh my fucking lord. This is not good.
