"This place looks energetic." I look outside the window of the van as it stops in front of a club called the 1 OAK. "Isn't this place like crazy expensive and almost impossible to get a table?." I have never been to this club but I heard that there is a waiting list for months to get a table. Especially on the weekends.

"Well yea but I work here." Liz explains.

"And we have our star with us." Brian speaks up as he leans over Shawn's body to look at me.

"But not everyone is 21 years and older." It only now strikes me that our underage thing can cause some trouble. I know that in the States they have this strict policy on alcohol consumption under the age of 21.

"Those rules do not apply for celebrities, Rose."- moral of the story: make sure that you get famous. Your life will become a whole lot easier. "If they knew that he was coming tonight, they would have probably rolled out the red carpet for him." Brian adds.

I look from Brian to Shawn "and you still manage to stay down to earth. Impressive." The moment people start to roll out red carpets when I arrive, I want someone to carry me inside on a chair like Cleopatra. <— jokes (although it would be nice).

"I am just a regular dude. It's the people around me who started to act differently."

"O my poor soul." I squeeze his cheeks teasingly. "Must be hard to have people eating out the palm of your hands."

Of course I am just messing with him. I can understand that it's hard to see people change around you and start to treat you differently. I don't know if I could handle all the fame and everything that comes with it. I do not want my face plastered all over the internet or in some gossip magazine. No thank you mister. I pass.

Shawn opens his mouth to say something but decide against it and looks away from me. Shit. The wasn't maybe the smartest thing to say.

"Okay guys, Let's go." Liz opens the door of the van and gets out first. We have to wait for them to get out first because we are all the way in the backseat of the van.

"I am sorry if I said something wrong." I squeeze Shawn his hand as Brian climbs out of the van. He looks over his shoulder and give me a little smile but it doesn't reach his eyes. He gets up and follows Brian out of the van.

Good job, Rose. Good fucking job. I know that he struggles with people treating him differently and when he finally opens up about it, I cannot keep my mouth shut and make some stupid comment. I will never learn.

Much to my surprise, when I climb out of the backseat of the van, Shawn is standing at the opening holding his hand out for me to take. He is honestly too good for this world.
"Thank you."

A cold shiver runs over my body as I step outside the van. I should have listened to Shawn when he said that I need to bring a jacket with me... I rub my arms trying to generate some heat. "I told you to put on a jacket." He mumbles in my ear and wrap his arm around my body and pulls me closer to him.

"O my God... is that Shawn Mendes?."

"Look it's Shawn Mendes."

"SHAWN!."

In no time the whole waiting area shouts Shawn his name. Followed by the blinding flashes of cellphones. So far making a low key entrance...

"Hi guys." He waves to them with his other hand as he slowly pushes me forward to the entrance of the club. I look down to ground as my eyes starting to hurt by all the flashes. How the hell is he not blinded by it?
Luckily, when we arrive at the entrance of the club, the bouncer is already holding the door open for us. "Thanks man."
