I spy with my little eye

"Speaking about the devil." Liz says as she hold my phone up in the air as I walk back into the living room with my hot, steaming cup of tea in my hands.

"Who is it?." I try to focus on the screen, to see who it is but I am too far away or my eyes are fucked up. That's also a possibility.

"Your lover." Shit... I haven't thought about what I am going to say to him. He will know immediately that something is off, when he hears my voice but I also cannot keep 'ignoring' him. That is suspicious as well.

I sigh deeply as I take the phone out off her hands. "Don't be so nervous. It's just Shawn." Ali says encouraging.

She is right. Like always. Annoying.

I accept the call and press the phone against my hear.
R: "Hey, hold on."

I lean down and kiss first Liz her cheek and then Ali's. "Good night babes."

"Sweet dreams." Ali says sweetly. I blow them a kiss and turn around into the direction of my bedroom.

R: "Hey babe." I say to Shawn through the phone.

"Don't have phone sex until too late. I want to sleep tonight." Liz yells loudly. I heard it, no doubt that Shawn heard it, probably the whole neighborhood heard her.

I shoot her a glare. I would have given her the finger but that is kind off impossible with my hands full.

The gorgeous sound of Shawn's laughter comes through the phone and immediately my heart melts.
S: "I miss Liz. She is crazy."

R: "Tell me about it..." Liz is hard to be around, in the sense of that she never stops but I miss her terribly when she is not around me. She brings joy, and headache but mostly joy.

S: "Where have you been all day? I started to get worried that I didn't hear anything from you." Shawn says as I close my bedroom door behind me.

R: "It was such a hectic day. Andrew dragged me to this meeting after we had landed. I only got home until a hour ago."- I put my cup with tea on my nightstand and get into my bed. "But how are you? Are you still in the studio?." I quickly change the topic.

S: "Yeah I am good. No, I just got home. The house is quite without you here."

I cannot help but to smile.
R: "I will be back in a couple of days."

S: "I cannot wait. Do I sound like a complete whipped person if I say that I already miss you?."

R: "No, because I miss you too."- In more ways than he will ever know...

S: "Good. Then we are both whipped."- I smile at his goofiness. Even though, I try my hardest to be here 100%, my mind keeps wandering to the 'secret' I have. I don't know what I should do... "Are you okay babe?." Shawn says, pulling me out of my thoughts.

R: "Yeah, of course. Why wouldn't I be?."

S: "I don't know. You sound... tired and."-

R: "It was a long day babe." I say quickly, apologizing for my strange behavior.

S: "Yeah, Andrew said that the meeting was going on for hours. How did it go though? Andrew was acting so vague about it when I asked him earlier." Shit... that escalated quickly. I didn't even had the time to think about what I am going to tell him or say.

R: "It was umm... good, I guess."- Really Rose? That is the best you could do? Now he will know for sure that something is going on.

S: "Okay? That doesn't sound really convincing."
