"This is nice."I say as I look around the room that is going to be ours for the next couple of days.

"It is, isn't it?." Shawn says as he close the door behind him while I walk over to the big window that has a gorgeous view over the village and the mountains. Well, the lights look nice. It's dark outside so, I have no idea how it actually looks. We will see in the morning.

"Are we going to spend New Years here?."

"Yes, if you want." I turn around from to window to the bed, where Shawn is now sitting on. "I have rented this house for 1 week."

"Nice. Maybe we can go snowboarding or something."

"You can board?."

"Yeah. Sort of."

"You can teach me then." Okay, before you think that I am a professional or something, the answer is no. I can stand on a board and go down the mountain with a limited chance of breaking something.

"Yeah. We will see." I mumble softly as I look away from him when the room becomes quiet. I don't want to be the first one who says anything, even though I am dying to talk about it. I don't like confrontation. My awkward side comes out in situations like this.

"Baby."- I look back to Shawn. "Come sit with me."

I sit down but not directly next to him. If we sit too close to each other, we won't do much talking. I am craving his touch but we need to talk about the things we have said earlier.

"Why are you so far away?."

"Because I need to keep a clear mind and not let you distract me with your godly body."

I smirk appears on his face as he leans on his elbows and look at me. "My godly body?."

"Don't act innocent. You are well aware." The man is a Greek God and he is well aware on the effect he has on me.

"Well."- he sits up and reaches forward towards my covered legs and slowly moves up. "I am constantly distracted by your beauty."

I try to push the rising feeling down. Luckily, I can snap out of it before he can successfully sex me up and brainwash me. I grab a pillow and put it between us. "Hands off Mendes."

"Alright. Alright. Let's talk." He has an amused smile on his face as he looks at my pathetic solution to keep him away from me. He looks from the pillow to me as his facial expression change from playful to serious. "I wanted to say how sorry I am for the things I said in the car. I didn't mean to get so worked up about it."

"But you meant what you said. Are you really afraid that I am going to run and leave you alone?." If so, I think we have a problem. The ironic part is that we already fight like an old married couple but that we still only are friends.

"No... yes... I don't know. I hope not."

"I think we have a problem if you really think so lowly of me. All I tried to do was to protect you."

"No... hey."- He pick up the pillow and throw it somewhere into the room. "I know that now. It has nothing to do with you. You are perfect. It has everything to do with me and my stupid insecurities." He says as he moves closer and lay my legs over his lap.

"But, it has to come from somewhere, right? Something I do has to tricker those feelings."

"No baby."- he grabs my chin to make me look at him. "It's nothing you do. I am just afraid, alright? The first time I putted my heart out there, she ran off with another guy. I don't want to go through that again."
