"I am so happy that today is the last show." I close my MacBook and lay it on the spot next to me on the couch. We are in Miami in Florida for the last show of the Jingle Ball concert series. These last couple of weeks have been killing. I never needed a break more in my life than right now. In precisely one week I am flying home to Amsterdam to spend my much needed Christmas break there.

"I told you, life on the road isn't easy but it is fun though, isn't it?." Surprisedly, Andrew close his laptop and give me all of his attention. That never happened. Yea sure, he listens but he is always doing something else at the same time. If you search for the word workaholic in the dictionary, you find a picture of Andrew's face.

"It is. It absolutely is. I am still so grateful that you have given me the opportunity to be your intern. I have learned so much in the last couple of months. It has been such a crazy ride but damn human, how have you survived all those years?."

He chuckles and shrugs his shoulders "I love my job. It exactly doesn't feel like a job. Shawn is like my younger brother.I honestly love him. He is family. Everyone who is part of this crew is family. That is why I can go on and on. Because of these amazing people I have around me on a daily basis."

"That was one of the reasons, you know why I wanted an internship at your company and not at a random other artist management company. You don't see your clients as clients. You manage to stay with both feet on the ground in all of this hectic. You always do what you think is good for Shawn as a person and not only as an artist. I really admire you for that."

He squeeze my wrist. Andrew is not the best at showing his emotions but gestures like this, are a lot for him. "You have a good heart, Rose. I knew for the moment I read your letter, that I wanted to hire you. I don't know if I ever told you this but I normally don't accept interns. They cost a lot of money and time but I never regretted my decision that I have hired you for a single moment."

"Stop or you are going to make me cry." Exhaustion is a bitch. She makes you act like a complete different person. All my emotions are strengthen. Last night I cried because some eat a cookie I wanted. Yep, I really did... other than that everything is fine with me.

"You are right..."- he stands up and put his laptop into his bag. "Shawn is about to start his preform. Are you coming or..?."

"I agreed with Anna for a quick FaceTime conversation but I will be there shortly."

"Ouch... that is going to be one awkward conversation. Let me know how it went, okay?."

"Yes I will. Thanks for the encouraging words."

"No problem. That is my job."- he jokes and walk towards the door. "See you later."

I shake my head with an amused smile on my face. Everyone knows about the situation I have with Anna, thanks to Brian. So, everyday they ask if I already called her. Thankfully after today, they cannot say anything about it anymore. That is partly the reason behind why I am calling her. I just want them to stop nagging me all day long.

My phone buzzes as I collect the courage to call Anna.

Do you have the time to call now?

This is ridiculous... Rose, stop acting like a pussy... it is your best friend for God sack.

I click on the FaceTime button and click on her name. I don't know why but I am feeling nervous. I haven't talked to her 'face to face', (well, semi) in a very long time. Considering that we used to FaceTime every single free moment of the day.
After only two rings, she picks up. She smiles as the video connection is established. Luckily, she looks just as nervous as I do. What makes me somehow feel a lot better.
