"What about this one?." Shawn looks around the corner with the most hideous hat I have ever seen on his head.

"You cannot tell me that you wouldn't feel embarrassed if I wore that thing while I walk next to you." Every color you can imagine is processed in that hat and if I am not mistaken, there are even little cats on it.

"No of course not."- he pulls the hat of his head. "Why would I?."

"Well, because I would look hideous." I mean, who would buy that? It should be illegal to walk around with such a ridiculous hat.

"Even if you would wear a garbage bag, you would still be the most gorgeous girl in the world to me." My God... how do girls survive guys like this? His cuteness is going to be the death of me.

I badly want to kiss him but there are quite a lot of people in this store and I don't want to attract the attention to us. Nor do I want my face to be plastered on every gossip site there is. So, instead of kissing him, I walk over to where he is standing and quickly squeeze his hand and release it before anyone can see.
"You always know what to say." I look up to him before I continue my search for a warm hat and scarf to survive the horrible cold weather outside.

"Just saying what I feel." He needs to stop before I am going to jump him and smother him with kisses. "What about this one?." He grabs a white hat with a little fur ball on top of it. "It's also has this warm fabric on the inside."

"Yes, this one is nice." It's not anything special but it indeed seems really warm. That is the number one requirement.

"They also have matching scarf and gloves." Amazing. Pack it up and then we can go. I start to feel the glances of the people who are in the shop on our backs.

"Wonderful."- I say hasty and grab the things out of Shawn his hands and walk towards the cashier.

"Sheesh. Slow down. Why the hurry?." Shawn says behind me as I lay the things on the counter.

"Hi good afternoon." The woman behind the cashier says. She smiles friendly at us. She takes a double look as he eyes land on Shawn.

"Hi." Shawn and I say both at the same time.

"Have you found everything you were looking for?." She tries to sound casually but totally fails.

"Yes, I did. Thank you." I say as it's my time to take a second look as I see the price of scarf. 95 dollars?! Are they insane? It's just a regular scarf. Nothing more, nothing less.

Damnit Rose... why didn't you looked at the price tags?

"Your subtotal is 235 dollars. Do you want to pay with debit or credit card?."

Well, there is no way I can say I don't want it anymore. That would be way too embarrassing. Thank God for the money I got from my grandparents for Christmas.

"Debit, please." Shawn says from beside me as he grabs his wallet out of the pocket of his jacket.

"Absolutely not."- I say as I step between him and the ATM machine. He has paid so much for me already that it's starting to make me feel uncomfortable. "With credit card, please."

Before I can put my card in the machine, Shawn wrap is arm around my waist and lift me up and put me down on the other side.
"It's your birthday babe." He says casually and put his card in the machine before I can protest. I look at the girl behind the counter, who stares at us with wide eyes. I would be surprised to if a 'celebrity' suddenly appears in front of your face but if he then starts calling a random, unknown girl little pet names... yeah, I can understand her surprise.
