One week had passed since the news came about of Defy's shutdown, however, I referred to that day as 'Shayne's Golden Moment.' That speech he gave moved me so much, and I knew he loved me, but man, now I was certain our love for each other was stronger than the very definition of love itself.

Morale levels stayed high, mostly because we all forced ourselves to stay positive. Smosh wasn't dying.

The fans were devastated by the news, but they were all so kind, reassuring us that they'd watch us no matter what we did, or where we did it, as long as it was us. Shayne and I discussed the possibility of creating our own channel, if everything did go to shit, but we concluded that we could do that anyway, because, as previously mentioned, we weren't even considering the end of Smosh.

Ian, Matt, Sunny, Joe and Sarah all began negotiations with various companies from all over the world, however, nothing good had come about yet. It had only been a week, but we were all still looking for that ray of hope.

The strongest candidate so far was a company by the name of Mirage Studios, however, after a few meetings, Ian had decided to turn them down, yet he wouldn't tell us why. Shayne and I eventually prised it out of him, though.

"They wouldn't allow relationships between co-workers!" Ian said breathlessly.

Shayne and I did nothing but kiss and then grin, "Thanks for turning them down, Ian."

Ian smiled, "Come on guys. Breaking you two up would break my heart, let alone the fans, everyone else at Smosh, and obviously you guys! And now Damien and Jessica are together... people should be allowed to date who they want, it's not up to some 'higher ups' who think it'll be bad for chemistry if they break up. Who cares? We're adults, we can look after ourselves!"

Shayne and I smiled once more, as did Ian, and the day went on.
