#36 - Christmas Eve-Eve

Courtney and I were travelling to her parents house two days before Christmas, taking Jango along with us. We had said goodbye to everyone at Smosh a few days prior, informing them that we would be away for a week. Ian was throwing a New Year's party at his apartment, so we promised him that we'd go to that.

For now though, the two of us were beginning our one hour long journey from L.A. to Thousand Oaks, Courtney's childhood town. I had been there many times obviously, but it was always difficult for the two of us. We were both lucky to get into our high school as we were on the border of our school's entry area, however, each of us were as far apart as possible. School was exactly halfway between our houses, but I never failed to make the effort to get to Courtney. One, because I love her, and two, my family weren't the most accommodating, to put it nicely.

When we arrived Kari, Conr and both of Courtney's parents greeted us, helping us with our luggage and taking Jango inside. After about an hour Courtney and I had unpacked, and I couldn't help myself but get lost in the many posters Courtney had stuck to her wall and ceiling. Various Marvel and DC memorabilia was scattered across the room, and a 'My Chemical Romance' poster was stuck haphazardly on the back of her door. There was also this wonderful aroma that always permeated throughout her room, no matter what, it was always there. I loved being in Courtney's bedroom to be honest, it excited me and reminded me of all our high school memories, both wonderful and weird, such as the numerous times when one of Courtney's parents nearly caught us having sex and I had to hide under the covers, and when I showed Courtney a poem I wrote for her, and when she gave me my key necklace. The list was endless.

Courtney wrapped her arms around my neck and kissed me tenderly, running her fingers through my hair as she did so. The two of us fell down onto her Guardians of the Galaxy bed sheets, and we shared another kiss.

"Merry Christmas Eve-Eve," Courtney said with a grin.

I rubbed my nose against hers, "Merry Christmas Eve-Eve baby."

We laid there silently for a while, just cuddling, until Courtney's dad called the two of us, informing us that dinner was ready. After sharing each other's lips once more, we walked downstairs hand in hand, and took our seats at the long oak dining table.
