The house wasn't enormous, in fact, it was actually quite small, but that made me love it all the more. A simplistic yet refined atmosphere lingered in its design, and the large quantity of windows made the area seem so much more spacious and open. A spectrum of pristine glass allowed light to flood into the vicinity, and it gleamed off of the seemingly spotless wooden floor.

Shayne and I stood in the threshold, and I was lost for words. His beautiful blue eyes glistened in the sunlight, examining my face, attempting to decipher my expressions and subsequently read my thoughts.

"Well?" Shayne asked, smiling as he did so.

Tears continued to stream down my cheeks as I shook my head in disbelief. Shayne chuckled.

"What do you think?" he pressed once more.

I sobbed joyous tears as I crashed into Shayne and hugged him with all my might, "I think I love you more than anyone else has ever loved someone before!"

Shayne laughed as he stroked my hair, and he kissed my forehead delicately.

"Let me show you around," he offered.

I cried into his shoulder as he grasped my hand and pulled me deeper into the house. Unpainted walls flanked either side of the hallway, and two conjoined rooms were immediately obvious, the kitchen and the living room. Shayne guided me around the kitchen first, showing me the extensive range of equipment and utensils, finally allowing me to cook more of my own meals, something our current home was lacking. Furthermore, a sophisticated island boasted a large portion of the space in the kitchen, and its bright, stainless steel surface brightened the room even more. Next up was the living room, and the floor changed from wooden tiles to a thick, soft carpet. Its distinctive dark grey colouration contrasted every other part of the house thus far, but I liked that as it represented a separate section for relaxation and comfort. The black walls further added to this, and it was by far the darkest room in the house, which obviously made sense as it removed the possibility of any glare hitting the television.

"What do you think so far?" Shayne asked tentatively, gripping my hand.

I was still crying with joy, and I simply replied, "I love it."

Shayne grinned and proceeded to apologise to me for the shoddiness and lack of furniture, "I'm sorry about the walls not being painted and the emptiness of the place, I thought we could do finish the house together."

I kissed him passionately, "There is NOTHING you need to be sorry for."

Shayne grinned again. After this I was shown the guest bedroom which was also downstairs, and it was honestly more impressive than our current bedroom. I was then informed of an upstairs and downstairs bathroom, as well as an en-suite in the master bedroom, and when I saw the master bedroom I was lost for words. The softest carpet imaginable covered the floor, and its ice white colouration made everything seem so clean. In the centre of the room, against the wall, was an absolutely enormous cardboard box, and as I read the lettering, I discovered that it was our bed. Shayne blushed as I smirked suggestively, and then he showed me the en-suite, to which I was also lost for words at.

I grabbed my boyfriend's hand tighter than ever, "This is everything I've ever dreamed of Shayne, and I mean that."

Shayne smiled, "I know."

However, the best was yet to come. The room that Shayne showed me next meant the world to me. He covered my eyes and guided me towards it, before standing me in the doorway.

"Ready?"

I nodded, "Yeah."

He uncovered my eyes, and before me was a small bedroom, complete with decorative wallpaper and a few more cardboard boxes. When I read the writing once more, I noticed it said 'bunk bed.' I dropped to my knees with happiness, and Shayne laughed sympathetically and knelt beside me. I cried into his neck as we embraced, and he stroked my hair, kissing my cheek as he did so.

"I-Is this t-the..." I stuttered, unable to vocalise my thoughts.

Shayne breathed into my neck, and I could feel his smile, rather than see it, "This is the kid's bedroom."
