Olivia and Jessica invited me to go out with them that night, and Shayne was oddly pleased about this, reassuring me that I should go. Naturally, therefore, I accepted and proceeded to get ready. Apparently we were going to Santa Monica Pier for a girls' night which seemed strange to me, as our girls' nights usually just involved the mall or the movie theatre.

Nevertheless, at six o'clock that evening, Jessica and Olivia picked me up from our house, and after saying goodbye to Shayne, I set off. My two friends were behaving just as strangely as Shayne, giddily smiling the entire time and hardly saying a word. Once we arrived the two of them dragged me along down the pier, all the way to the Ferris Wheel, and what surprised me was the fact that Keith was stationed there, holding a note of some kind. Jessica and Olivia didn't appear to be surprised by his sudden appearance, but I was.

"Keith? What are you doing here alone?" I asked.

He said nothing. Instead he smiled and handed me the small slip of paper. The writing was unmistakable, it was Shayne. The scruffy nature and tiny font always made me smile, and it read, "Santa Monica Pier, the location of our first date, as well as our true reunion."

I frowned whilst smiling, and my three friends ushered me back to Olivia's Range Rover, with Keith now joining us.

"What the hell is going on, guys?" I inquired, laughing.

They still remained silent, all with massive grins plastered across their dumb countenances. After a little while, we pulled up outside mine and Shayne's old apartment, which now of course was Damien and Jessica's home.

My voice was laced with pure intrigue, "Why are we here?"

Damien stepped out and locked the door behind him, before sitting next to Keith in the back, who was next to me. I was handed a second note, "Our first home together, now the home of two of our closest friends."

I smirked and held onto the notes tightly, wondering what all of this could be about. The next destination was the Rhett and Link building and I was instructed to go up to the Squad Office. After doing so, followed by Olivia, Jessica, Damien and Keith, I spotted Noah and Ian stood beside one another, each holding a new note. They also remained silent and gave me said notes. Noah's read: "The second home for us." I then looked at Ian's note and it read, "The job that bought us back together again after years of heartache."

I held back tears at this so-called plan of Shayne's, which was now making sense to me, and Olivia quickly guided me back to her car. I was accompanied by the original four again, with Noah and Ian following close behind.

The next destination made me feel complete. It was my childhood home. Shayne had really thought this through. I was told to go in alone, and so I did. Kari, Conr, my mom and my dad all stood there, smiling at me.

Kari held the note this time, and as she handed it to me she whispered, "I love you, sis," and so I hugged her and said the same back.

This note read, "The Miller household. Your first home, and the people I must thank for giving me you."

This time I did cry happy tears, and Kari guided me to her car. For the final stretch of the journey I was accompanied by my family, with Olivia's car close behind, and Ian's car just behind that. We all pulled up outside mine and Shayne's house, and I was sobbing ugly tears now, both hoping and praying that this was going where I thought it was.
