Shayne and I said goodbye to one another early on the penultimate day, with him going to stay with Damien, Noah and Keith at our old apartment, and I would be accompanied by Kari, Olivia and Jessica in the house.

I devoted my time to rehearsing my memorised speech, not wanting to use any notes or anything, and the four of us tried on our dresses and whatnot. My wedding dress was, hands down, my favourite outfit of all time, and honestly, I'd happily wear it everyday. It made me feel so special and lucky. I had found my soulmate. My one true love. It was something not many people could brag about, but I could. I had Shayne Topp. Shayne Freakin' Topp!

My friends cried at my speech, as did I, and Kari proceeded to become overwhelmed with nostalgia as she showed all of us some entries I had written in my childhood diaries referring to Shayne, titling each chapter as a Shourtney Segment. God I was lame, but it made me smile nonetheless.

The nerves were really setting in now. I was a mere twenty-four hours away from becoming a husband!

Damien, Noah and Keith weren't exactly the most supportive people, as they relentlessly branded me a pussy for constantly bursting into tears. I didn't care. Courtney was going to be my wife, and I her husband. It was everything I could have ever dreamed for.

My speech went well, as, after calling me a pussy and whatnot, I caused my three friends to break down into tears, struggling to hold them back, denying that it was because of the speech and instead blaming the cologne I was wearing.

"Nice try guys, just admit I made you cry!" I teased.

"Fine!" Damien admitted reluctantly.

"You made us cry," Keith and Noah submissively muttered in unison.

We all proceeded to laugh yet again, and with that, I was ready to get married.
