*Shayne*
Even though I had arranged to buy a house in Thousand Oaks for myself and Courtney, I realised that it wouldn't be ready for at least a year, and we wouldn't live there until we were ready to leave Smosh, and maybe even start a family. That could be a long time from now, perhaps a decade or even more.
Therefore, I planned to ask her to move in with me, into my apartment. The extra money could go towards funding the new place, but the best part was the fact that I'd be spending all of my time with the love of my life.
I asked Courtney to come over for dinner one evening, and her first reaction was to laugh. The conversation went something a little bit like this:
"You're gonna cook for us?" snickered Courtney.
"Hell yeah I am!" I retaliated with a fake hurt tone.
Courtney giggled and kissed me lightly on the lips, "Just make sure you don't do chicken," she teased.
"Hey, you said I'm a good cook!" I cried.
"You are a good cook babe," Courtney reasssured me with a tone of mockery whilst kissing me delicately on the cheek.
I pouted and exaggerated like a child, "You think I'm a terrible cook."
Courtney sighed with a smirk and rolled her eyes, "If I tell you you're amazing in bed, will that make you forgive me?"
I blushed and grinned, "Damn right I'm amazing."
"Yeah you are, baby," Courtney responded, kissing my cheek yet again.
The time for our home-made dinner date finally arrived. Courtney entered my apartment to be greeted by a cloud of smoke in the kitchen, as well as a messily dressed boyfriend with a tea-towel slung over his shoulder.
"What the hell happened?" Courtney inquired, suppressing laughter.
"I-I was trying to make you a vegetable stir fry, but I put too much olive oil in my wok, and it kind of caught fire," I stammered with embarrassment.
Courntey hugged me tightly, "It's alright baby, we can always have something else."
I sighed, "All I have is some bread and cereal."
Courtney kissed me before saying, "That's fine, we can have that."
I chucked my tea-towel down on the floor with anger, prior to getting out some bowls and preparing two portions of Coco-Pops for myself and Courtney. She began eating, but I remained silent.
"Everything ok, Shayne?"
"I'm really sorry Courtney. This sucks. I was supposed to make you a romantic dinner, but I fucked it up!" I exclaimed, allowing a couple of tears to trail down my cheeks.
Courtney laughed warmly and sympathetically, before hastily getting up and hugging me, kneeling on the tiled floor.
"Oh Shayne baby, it's ok! This is perfect, really!"
I stayed silent as I squeezed my eyes shut to clear the excess tears.
"If you cooked something amazing I would wonder what you did with my boyfriend!" Courtney joked.
I laughed quietly, and Courtney hugged me even tighter, before kissing my lips and lingering there for a few moments. Eventually she pulled away, and I allowed myself to fall into a trance, getting lost in her galaxy-like emerald eyes.
"I love you, Courtney," I whispered.
She smiled kindly, "I know you do, Shayne, and I love you too."
