Chapter 36

Hailey

When I got inside Amy was still at the stove and Ty was sitting at the table. Ty looked up from his phone at the sound of the door opening. "morning" he said smiling at me, "good morning" I said smiling back. I walked over to him and he stood up, I gave him a hug before sitting in the chair next to him. Amy had been watching use the whole time. "you guys are sooo cute" she said. I felt my face heat up a little but didn't try to hide it. "thanks" I said quietly but she still heard me. "of course" she smirked and winked at me. I glared at her and she just shrugged and went back to cooking so I glared at her back.

 "so, why are you so happy this morning?" Ty asked breaking me from my anger. "oh, well I just woke up happy, and I know it's not normal, I just felt like today was gonna be good" I said turning to Ty. He smiled at me and my heart skipped. 'no matter how much I've been around him his smile always makes me giddy' I thought 'it's kind of annoying.'

 "stop that" I said, he looked at me confused "stop what?" "smiling like that" "why?" "just cuz" "why? I need an answer" "that is an answer" "no it's not" "yes it is" "no it's not and if you don't give me a real answer I won't stop" he said smirking, I glared at him "you wouldn't dare" I said in a low growl but in  no way was it mean. "try me" "fine, I don't know how to explain it tho" "so, just try your best" "fine, it makes my stomach flutter and stuff and it just makes me feel weird."

Ty smirked and looked to Amy then back at me. I was confused and it showed. I looked to Amy and she was smirking to it was unnerving "what is going on, why are you both smiling at me like that?" I finally asked unable to take the suspense any longer. "oh nothing your just acting like a normal girl" Amy said "don't say that, no I'm not." Amy looked at Ty and then to me. 'whats going on' I thought then I looked to Ty and he smiled again making my heart flip. 'stop that, god damn it.' Amy smiled at me knowing exactly how Ty was affecting me. "fine, I give up, you were right." Amy nodded and went back to cooking.

I dropped my head and stared at the table. Then I felt a hand on my shoulder, I looked up and met Ty's green eyes. He was smiling still but I didn't care any more. "you don't have to be ashamed or embarrassed" he said quietly and I nodded.

Papa walked in a couple minutes later, his hair wet and dripping, and sat down. "alright I'm ready to eat" he said "hey don't be rude" Amy said "sorry" Amy nodded and started serving the food.

After breakfast Ty went to work and I stayed inside cuz I couldn't do anything. I helped Amy with some house work and bills but soon got bored and went to take a shower. 

At lunch it was pouring again. "wow its really coming down" Amy said watching the rain from the window "yeah, its a good thing we got the work done before it started" Papa said. The rest of lunch was quiet for the most part. 

"hey, Hailey" Ty said after lunch. He ended up with dishes so I sat at the table waiting for him to finish. "yeah?" "I just thought how about we go for a drive since we never really go anywhere" "sure that sounds fun." I smirked 'so he did figure it out' I thought. "great we'll go after I'm done" "I figured that" "don't get smart" "I wasn't" "what ever."
