Hailey

I paused at the edge of the forest, staring into the dark trees, "Hailey?" Ty asked "you alright?" "yeah. yeah, I'm fine" I said distractedly, pushing Majesty forward past Ty and into the trees. Ty followed quietly.

We were about two miles deep into the forest, when things began to grow less familiar. I stopped, looking around, Ty came up next to me. "so where to next?" I looked at him and shrugged. "I don't know, I had wandered the forest for at least an hour before I reached the meadow. I have no idea what direction I went." I sighed, my head drooping, " we're never gonna find Patches." "hey don't say that, we will find him" I shook my head "what ever you say."

I looked around again, then moved forward, pushing through the thick forest. "it seemed a lot easier on foot" I said, weaving Majesty through the trees, "really?" "yeah" "then maybe we should walk the rest on foot" "no, it's to far to do that if we want to make it back before dinner" "alright but it might take longer if we have to keep slowing down to get through the trees."

As we continued, things started to look familiar, and the trees started to thin out. I pushed Majesty further. The further we went the more things looked familiar. When I saw the opening in the trees I stopped and jumped down. "what is it Hailey?" Ty asked jumping off Griffin. "I think we found it" I said still walking "really?!?" I nodded.

Ty jogged over to me, the two horses following loyally behind. Ty gasped as we broke out of the trees, I smiled for I had the same reaction to the rolling hills and lush green grass. "It's beautiful" he said, "yes it is."

I walked further into the meadow looking for any sign of Patches. Ty followed, still looking around in aw, "how have we never seen this place before?" He asks "I dont know." I stoop to the ground looking at an imprint in the ground, I sighed when it turns out not to be a hoof print. As I examine the print Ty trips over me and we roll down the hill.

We land in a heap at the bottom, laughing. I pushed myself up and looked down at Ty "how dare you" I smirked, he laughed and pulled me down again, rolling over and pinning me to the ground, "me?! Your the one who stopped" he grinned, I squirmed under his weight "get.off" "why?" I glared at him trying to flip him over "Your not getting away that easy" he said smirking. I paused for a second, thinking 'ah ha.'

I smirked up at him, he looked confused. I quickly kissed him catching him off guard. He leaned into the kiss, I smiled and shoved him off, throwing him to the ground and jumping on top of him, pinning his arms behind his head. "Hey!" He whined "that's not fair you distracted me" "hey what ever works" I smirked leaning down and kissing him. He wrapped his arm around me pulling me closer and deepening the kiss.  I pulled away, rolling off him and standing. He looked up at me confused "you alright?" he asked sitting up, "yeah" "then, why did you get up?" I rolled my eyes "because, I didn't want it to go too far." I held out a hand, he took it and I hauled him up. "what do you mean?" "really Ty?" "what?" I shook my head "never mind, lets just look for Patches." He still looked confused but I ignored it.

I turned and headed over to where the horses were grazing. I caught Majesty's rains and swung myself into the saddle. I pushed her forward as Ty mounted Griffin.

We rode for a while before I noticed some tracks. I stopped and jumped down to investigate. I heard Ty's boots hit the ground as he dismounted, "what is it?" He asks kneeling down next to me "I think it hoof tracks, what do you think?" He moved closer, feeling the imprints. I could see his mind working, pulling information from deep inside.

He picked up some dirt, examining closely. After a minute he dropped the handful and stood."Your right, they are from a horse" he said "but I cant tell if their Patches or not" I stood, smiling and pulling him into a hug "your amazing" I said "but? We don't know if it's him or not" I pulled back "that's not the point, there's a chance that it is him and that's all that matters right now." He nodded smiling "alright then, let's get going."
