Chapter 47

Hailey

Ty and I walked back to the house, I could tell Ty was still thinking about what had happened with Patches and I couldn't blame him I was still in shock. It had taken me almost a week to even be able to go within 20 feet of him and Ty was able to be 2 feet away in just a few minutes its amazing.

I glanced up at Ty and smiled to myself 'yeah, he is amazing.'

A few days later I was pulled from my sleep by Amy. "Hailey wake up we need to go" she said speaking softly "go where?" I said sleep still holding me "your appointment" "fiiinnee." I threw my blanket off swinging my legs over the edge. I checked the time and groaned when it read 8:35.

'why'd she wake me up so early?' I complained to myself. I got out of bed and rummage through my closet looking for cloths and pulled out one of my dads old band t-shirts and one of my favorite pairs of jeans.

I stared at the shirt for a minute, trying not to let the saddens take over, then went to take a shower.

When I got out I could smell the bacon cooking. I walked down, still sleepy, and sat at the table. "Good morning sleepy head" "morning, is the coffee done?" "I thought you don't like coffee" "I don't but if I have to be up this early then I'll have to deal with it" "well then, no its not done cuz I didn't make any but I will in a minute."I laid my head on the table trying not to fall asleep. A little later I could smell the coffee brewing. When it was done Amy brought me a cup full of the steaming liquid. I didn't move content with just laying there even when Ty walked in. "Morning" Ty said cheerfully "morning" Amy said back. I still didn't move as I heard foot steps coming toward the table followed by the sound of a chair moving next to me.

Ty wrapped his arm around my shoulders "morning Hailey." I knew he was smiling with out even looking at him, I could hear it in his voice. I ignored him. "What no ' good morning Ty how are you this morning?' hm" "its too early" I mumbled into my arms "what? I cant hear you" "leave me alone, I'm tired its too early" I mumbled louder. "Oh ok well then I guess you don't want a kiss then." At the words I sat up quickly and turned toward him. He was smiling at me and I frowned glaring at him. "I knew that would get you up" he laughed "that's not fair" I mumbled laying my head back down "what do you want that kiss or not?" When I didn't answer Ty grabbed me and pulled me back and I screamed in surprise. "Haha got ya, now you can't ignore me" he said holding me "Let go" I growled fighting against him "never."

I continued to fight but not for very long, I gave up after only a couple seconds cuz I was still half asleep. "Fine you win" I said relaxing into his arms, I looked up at him glaring. But that was quickly changed when he leaned down and kissed me.

"you done being grumpy?" he asked pulling away "no but that did help a bit" I said half smiling "ok thats good enough I guess." I smiled fully at him then tried to sit up but he wouldn't let go. I looked at him confused and he smirked "just cuz you said you aren't grump doesn't mean I'm letting you go" "fiiinnee" I sighed falling back against his chest "don't act like you hate this" "who said I was acting?" We glared at each other for a minute before I closed my eyes and relaxed.

"Hailey, get up so you can eat" I heard Ty say softly, I slowly opened my eyes and found Ty staring down at me. I gave him a sleepy half smile then sat up. In front of me was a plate full of food. I grabbed my fork and started eating, then remembering my cup of coffee I took a small drink almost spitting it right back out. "Amy what did you put in here? it tastes like crap" "what? oh I didn't put anything in it, I didn't know what you would like. sorry" "it fine but can you please put SOMETHING in this" "sure."

Once we finished our food Amy went to get dressed. "alright, you ready?" she asked when she finished "yeah I guess" "hey don't worry" Ty said holding my hand "you'll be fine" "I know." I took a deep breath steadying myself, then nodding to myself I stood "alright, let's go."
