Hailey

I looked at Amy for a minute then nodded "ok, if you say I'm fine then I'll listen"  Amy looked surprised "really?" I nodded "wow, I wasn't expecting that" "why?" "you just don't agree with me that easily." I laughed "yeah I guess that's true" Amy laughed to "yep, now that that's over, why don't go to bed" "ok, good night" "night." I walked out and went back to my room to go to bed.

The next morning I wasn't as cheery and joyful as yesterday. I woke up at 5 in the morning and couldn't get back to sleep. The events from yesterday rushed in, both happy and sad, and I found myself lost in thought.

I thought about Nexus and tears threatened to spill. I fought back the sadness and directed my chain of thoughts to a different subject, so I thought about Ty and my whole self screamed with so many emotions. Happiness and excitement are only a couple. 'Ty and me are finally a couple!!!' I thought screaming internally 'I can't believe it!'

My bad mood had since disappeared and I was glad to be rid of the thought of Nexus, at least for now.

A couple hours later I heard Amy walking down stairs to start breakfast. So I got up and got cloths for a shower. After my shower I went down stairs "Morning Amy." Amy jumped and turned to face me "oh Hailey I didn't know you were awake, you scared me" "yeah, I couldn't sleep and sorry about that" "its fine."

After talking to Amy for another couple minutes I went to the living room. Sitting on the couch I turned on the TV. I flipped through the channels but didn't find anything of interest so I turned off the TV and went back to the kitchen. "can I help with something?" "what? you want to help  cook?" Amy asked surprised. I nodded and walked over to the sink to wash my hands.

After washing my hands I turned to Amy who was still staring at my confused "stop staring and tell me what I can do" I said snapping Amy out of her trance "oh um do you think you could...." "cut up veggies and herbs?" "yeah sure." I went to the fridge and started looking through the vegetables "what do you need?" "um parsley, chervil, chives, and tarragon." I looked up at Amy with a confused look "oh sorry I forgot, you don't know what those are" she came over and rummaged through the fridge.

She pulled out what she needed and handed the bundles to me. "here you go" "thanks." I set the plants on the table and grabbed a cutting board and knife. I sat down and started chopping. Half why done with the first bunch the knife slipped "fuck!" I spit grabbing my hand "what happened?" Amy asked rushing over to me "I cut myself" "let me see" Amy pulled my hand back and it was covered in blood.

"shit, ok come over to the sink" she said pulling me over "why?" she didn't answer, just turned on the water. "ohhh on you are not putting water on this" I said stepping back but she pulled me back over. "yes, I am, if you don't rinse it I won't be able to tell how bad it is." I glared at her and she glared back. After a bit I gave in "fine, do what you want."

Amy pulled my hand under the running water "ahahaha" I hissed. It stung really bad, I tried to pull my hand back but Amy had a firm grip. "stop moving" she snipped.

Once the blood was gone Amy turned the water off. She pulled my hand closer to her face and examined my cut. "oh it's not that bad" she said "not that bad? It hurt like hell, it still does" "oh don't be such a baby, you've been through worse things then this. You stay here and let me go get you a band aid." Amy walked off and left me standing there "I'm not a baby" I growled.

Amy came back a minute later with a band aid. She put it on the cut and sat me back down at the table to finish the rest of the herbs. "why are you making me do this again?" I whined "because, you need to learn to cook, I've been keeping you out of the kitchen for long enough. If you are gonna wanna be a good wife then you need to learn to cook" "who said I was getting married?" "I did" "well that's not up to you" "yes it is." I rolled my eyes "what ever Amy."
