Ty

"alright fine, how about.... Lion king?" I asked Hailey "Really? Are you sure you want to watch that?" "I thought you didn't care" I said with a smirk, she glared at me from her spot on the couch "I don't" "alright then we are watching this" "alright."

I put the disk in the player and sat next to Hailey on the couch. When the movie started she moved closer and laid her head on my shoulder, and I wrapped my arm around her pulling her close.

Half way through the movie Hailey fell asleep, I paused the movie smiling at her sleeping face. 'she looks so peaceful. ' I then checked the time and realized it was almost 12, so I turned the TV off and picked Hailey up, carrying her to her room. I laid her on the bed and covered her up brushing aside a stray hair and kissing her cheek. "goodnight Hailey" I whispered. I left the room and headed out to my truck.

When I got home mom was asleep on the couch, Friends playing on the TV. I rolled my eye and walked over and turned the TV off. Mom jumped up looking around wildly "who's there?" she yelled "mom, mom calm down it's just me." "Ty?" "yes" "oh" she breathed a sigh of relief "I thought you were a robber" "I gathered that. Why are you on the couch?" "I was watching TV and I guess I fell asleep " "well I'm sorry for waking you I was just turning the TV off " " it's fine honey" "ok, goodnight mom" "goodnight baby."

When I woke up mom was gone, as usual, so I went on with my morning. When I was heading out the door I noticed a note on the kitchen counter 'this is for for you to give to Hailey, I hope she likes it. Mom❤ ' it read. Next to it was a small box, I opened it up and found a diamond necklace that my dad had given my mom for one of their anniversaries. I smiled, closing the box I stuffed it into my pocket and left.

I got to Hailey's a few minutes late, I hurried inside, thankfully breakfast was still being made. "Morning" I called as I entered the door "Morning Ty" Amy said "your just in time for breakfast" "good, is Hailey still in bed?" "what do you think?" Amy said with a smirk "you want me to go wake her up? She said she was working today" "really?" "yeah" "well then yes, I don't want her getting mad at me for her sleeping in late" I nodded and headed up stairs.

I knocked on Hailey's door before walking in "Hailey?" I said quietly, sticking my head in, she didn't answer. "Hailey" I said a little louder, and opening the door more "hmmmm" she mumbled covering her head with the blanket "Hailey you got to get up" "mmmm" she mumbled again rolling over. I rolled my eyes and walked over to the bed yanking the covers off her "HEY!!!!" she yelled "give that back" "not till you get up" she glared at me then snatched the blanket back curling up in it. I pulled the blanket off her again then started tickling her "ahh" she screamed, laughing "st.. stop" she said between laughs"not until you get up and get dressed" "finnneee" I stopped and let her catch her breath. Hailey glared at me "I. hate. you" she said between gulps of air "no you don't" "yes, I do." I kissed quickly on the lips, "how about now?" I said with a smirk "I don't know yet" she said, I kissed her again and she smiled "ok I don't hate you as much, now get out I need to get dressed" "alright, but you better not go back to sleep" "I won't." I smiled and left, shutting the door behind me.

I went back down stairs and took a seat at the table. "is she up?" Amy asked "yeah, it took a bit but she's up" "I heard her scream, what did you do?" I laughed "she refused to get out of bed so I tickled her till she gave in" "and you didn't get punched?" "nope" "hmm." The conversation trailed off and the kitchen was quiet. Jacob came in a little later, "good Morning everyone!" he exclaimed "morning Granddad" Amy said, as she began to serve the food "Good Morning my dear, what's for breakfast?" "biscuits, gravy and sausage" " sounds good."

Amy passed out the plates, "Hailey!" she called "come eat!" "I'm coming!" Hailey yelled, followed by foot steps coming down the stairs. "you didn't need to yell, I was coming" she said as she sat down "well I didn't know that, so don't get an attitude with me" "I wasn't but ok." Amy handed Hailey her plate and sat down.

"so Hailey" Amy said "Ty told me you were planing on going out today. You really think your ready?" "yeah, I know I'm ready." Amy sighed "alright" "why?" "I just wanted to make sure, I do believe your ready but I also think its too soon" "well don't be too nervous it's not like the horses can cause a panic attack."
