Hailey

"what ever Amy." I knew arguing was futile, Amy was too stubborn. She picked up the knife "here, this is how you hold so that you don't cut yourself." She showed me how to hold the knife then handed it to me. I did the same and she smiled "good, now start chopping, I need those to make the omelets." I rolled my eyes and started chopping up the herbs. "sooo, when is my appointment?" I asked "what? oh um Wednesday at 10 A.M" "really, that early?" I groaned "yes" "well when am I getting my stitches out?" "in three weeks." I sighed but didn't say anything else.

I was almost done when I heard a vehicle pull up to the house. 'Ty's here!' I thought, smiling to myself. Ty walked in the door a minute later. "morning" he said before looking at me "what are you doing?" he asked surprised "she's helping me cook" "but why?" "cuz I had nothing to do" "but I thought you hated cooking?" "I do, cuz I normally burn things, but I woke up early and couldn't get back to sleep so I started helping cook" "ok. what ever. I give up on trying to figure this out."

I smiled at Ty's confusion as he came over and sat down next to me. "so, how are you?" he asked. I could hear the concern in his voice. "fine" "good." I knew he didn't really believe me but I couldn't blame him, I barely believe myself.

Once I finished I gave Amy the cutting board and sat back down at the table. "so, where did you two go yesterday?" Amy asked. I looked over to Ty, he looked at me and shrugged. I looked back to Amy "we went for a drive, I told you" "yes but you didn't tell me exactly where you went." I looked to Ty letting him know it was his turn to talk. "I took her to a place my mom took me when I was little" "and where is that?" "Lindale" "that doesn't really tell me where but its fine. What is this place called?" "I don't think it has a name" "ok, fine" Amy glared at Ty trying to tell if he was lying.

"It's just a cliff over looking a lake" I said "oh, well why that place specifically?" I looked to Ty, he knew he would be the only one who could answer that question. He nodded "I heard you two talking about how Hailey and I aren't , or weren't, dating. It took me a bit to realize what you meant but when I did I wanted to take Hailey somewhere special." He looked from me to Amy then continued. "I didn't know where exactly or when. Then when it started raining yesterday, I remembered the cliffs so I asked Hailey if she want to go for a "drive" and took her out there."

When Ty was finished he looked at me and smiled I smiled back and leaned over kissing him on the cheek. "awwwww." We both jumped back red faced, forgetting Amy was in the room. "that's sooooooo sweet, so what did you say?" She asked turning to me. I quickly forgot my embarrassment. "what do you think?" I asked sarcastically "well I'm guessing you said yes" "Noooo I jumped off the cliff and into the lake." Amy rolled her eyes at my sarcasm "stop being sarcastic" "why?" "because it gets on my nerves" "but its fun." Amy shot me an evil glare "fine."

Amy went back to cooking. "so I should go start feeding the horses" Ty said standing up "alright." Ty headed to the door, "oh wait" I said rushing over to him "yeah?" "I wanted a kiss before you left" I said smiling innocently. He gave me a sly smile in return "really? I thought you weren't like other girls?" I glared at him "ok, ok fine" he laughed leaning down and placing a kiss on my lips.
