Two months later

"Papa, papa!" Jimin cried out to his dad as he tried waking him up from his nightmare. Jin jumped up from his dream to see his baby crying. "What's wrong, Minnie?" Jin questioned, picking up Jimin and pulling him onto the bed. "y-y-you w-w-were." Jimin couldn't get his words out as he cried until he got into a temper and had a hiccup. "It's okay baby, Papa is okay, please don't cry. Papa doesn't like it when his baby Minnie cries; it hurts Papa's heart."

Jimin swiftly wiped away the tears from his eyes and looked at his dad, "Papa, see, Minnie no longer cries; Minnie is smiling now." Jimin told his dad as he smiled, showing his two front teeth.

Jin couldn't help but smile; Jimin was the cause of his happiness; it had been two months since he had been freed from Jimin's father. Which haunted him most nights as Namjoon had killed himself right after letting go. He shot himself with the very same gun he had held to Jin's head many times before. After giving Jin his freedom, he took the coward's way out and killed himself.

Jin felt as though Namjoon had done it as a form of punishment for him. The note he had left behind did not help either. The only benefit from it was that he admitted to his wrongs, but that was never enough to heal the brokenness within Jin's heart.

It wasn't enough to deal with the pain and nightmares he had on a nightly basis. Being out in the world was so scary for him. He was not sure he would've made it this far if he had not had Jimin. He most likely would've given up on life a long time ago.

Had anyone told him when he met Namjoon five years ago, his life would have turned out this way; he would've called them jealous and a liar. The first time Namjoon asked him out in front of their college residence, he had said yes; he was eighteen and was so giddy and happy to be asked out by his crush. However, six months into their relationship, he noticed that Namjoon had gotten very controlling; if Seokjin's phone had rung, he wanted to know who it was and why they were calling.

The first time Jin told him that he shouldn't touch or go through his phone, that was the first time Namjoon laid hands on him. It should have also been the first and the last time, but it wasn't.

Jin had gone out with his friends one night and stayed out "too late," according to Namjoon. That was the night Jimin was conceived without Jin's consent. Namjoon had taken advantage of him multiple times that night. That, too, was supposed to be the first and the last time, but it wasn't.

Once Jin found out he was pregnant, Namjoon persuaded Jin's parents that it was best to get married. Namjoon came from a well-off family, so Jin's parents agreed; at least they thought it was what their son wanted, but they didn't know their son was being forced. The day of Kim Seokjin and Kim Namjoon's wedding was the worst day of his life. That night, Namjoon took advantage of him again on their honeymoon while he was pregnant because he smiled too much at the airport driver.

No one knew the things Jin had endured; no one knew the pain he held inside him. Every day, he received a new scar; every day, he was told words that only damaged him more and made him weaker. He was surprised to know he had given birth successfully to Jimin, considering how many times Namjoon had beaten and sexually assaulted him during his pregnancy with Jimin. Namjoon had forced Jin to drop out of school and stay home with Jimin. Jin was prohibited from going anywhere unless Namjoon knew where he was going.

He was a prisoner in Namjoon's home, an enslaved person who was just there to satisfy his needs. Namjoon had broken everything within him. Jin never knew what love was. He was young with a kid whom he treasured more than the world itself. This kid had become his safe haven; it was the only form of happiness he knew.

It had been two months since he had been without Namjoon, but he still lived in fear; he still lived in pain. He has made a vow that he will never date or marry again. He wanted only life with his Jiminie, nothing more. Besides, who would love a broken soul like him who didn't even deserve it? Namjoon always told him that all he was ever suitable for was a good fuck, nothing more, and the only thing he ever did right was suck his cock.

As Jin reflected on the memories, he wrapped his arm around his Chim Chim and cried silently. He cried until it was hard for him to breathe, but slowly, he released his breaths, just enough so he wouldn't alert Jimin that he was crying. He was alone with no friends or family; he had his parents but had kept away from them. He just wished he had one person to talk to, only one person; he could tell the truth, just one person he could bear his soul to; all he wanted was just a friend, a friend that wasn't going to judge him, but a friend that would console him.

He was unaware that his neighbor was interested in being more than just friends. However, this situation would have been perfectly acceptable if Kim Seokjin had not closed himself off to the idea of loving or caring for anyone else. He had become an emotional block of ice, with Kim Jimin being the only person he cared about. He believed all men were untrustworthy and did not desire to date anyone.
