5 yrs later.

"Yoonji, you cannot put that in your mouth, Papa said it's dirty," Jimin said as he pulled the toy away from his little sister's mouth. Being a big brother was such a hard job. His sister was only two year's old but didn't like to listen, which made it hard for him. Yoonji was nothing like his little brother Soobin, who was five. Soobin listened to him and always followed him around like a lost puppy. Although not Yoonji, all Yoonji did was follow his papa around all the time. His papa sure did spoil her too.

Jimin was almost turning eleven, and he took his big brother duties very seriously. His Dad had told him to be a brother who protects, and that's precisely what he was trying to do and plus if he weren't kind to them, he would lose his allowance, which he thinks Yoonji wanted him to lose because she didn't listen and did everything she was told not to do.

Having a younger brother was so much better than having a younger sister. He was hoping that his parents were not planning on having another baby. He couldn't see himself being an older brother to another brother or sister. Being the oldest sibling is hard.

However, he was somewhat okay with it because no matter how many siblings he had thus far, he was still his Dad's favorite, and that was all that mattered to him. He loved his papa dearly, but Jungkook brought happiness into his life. People tend to think that kids don't understand things when they are young, but Jimin did. He remembered how sad his and his papa's life was before Jungkook came into the picture.

Jungkook and his bunny teeth smile and his little dog at the time had really made a difference in Jimin's mornings. After Jimin would experience his father's episode of nightmares at nights, waking up and seeing Jungkook outside walking his dog and smiling did a lot to his mood.

At the time, he never understood what happened to his original Dad and why he was no longer in their life. His papa never mentioned it to him, but kept him locked in their new home. Life was stifling for him. All he had was a bunch of toys and tv to watch, but his Kookie gave him hope. He made him play with his dog in the morning and spoke to him like he mattered, something his papa hardly did.

His papa at the time only did what he could while moping around the house, Jimin knew sadness before he knew what happiness was. He knew what it felt like to feel empty at a young age, but similarly, he knew what it was like to have hope for a better tomorrow very young, once he met Jungkook.

That's why people that meet his family never notices that he is not Jungkook's actual son and thinks he loves his Dad more than he loves his papa, but that's not true, he loves his parents equally. However, Jungkook he hanged on closely to as he feared if he should ever go, his and his papa's life would return to sadness.

Although now that years had passed, and he had gotten a bit older, he no longer worried about those things. His Uncle Yoongi had told him that his parents loved each other way too much to ever let go of one another, so he never has to worry.

He was thankful that his siblings will never know what it feels or sounds like to hear their papa cry from being hit or know any of the emptiness he felt as a child. He was happy to be apart of a loving family, one that his Dad worked hard to build.

When he gets older, whether he marries a man or a woman, he wants to be a man just like his Dad, loving, caring, and understanding. He would also like for his spouse to be as protective and warm as his papa is with him and his siblings.
