Prologue - Ending
Axel
I fucked to much, drank to much. I never cared for anyone but my fucking self. My wants, needs all came to me easily. I was the fucking King. Bitches try to have my babies but none of them ever do.
I stayed in line of some coffee shop Taylor was obsessing about and watched her ramble on about how it decorates their shop for every season. It's a bit of a bore to me.
As we stood there I looked down at my phone texting Lindsey.
"Hey do you wanna hang after practice? My place, sixish? Seven maybe?"
"Who are you texting?" Taylor tried to look down at my phone but I quickly put it away.
"No one, just a friend."
Taylor rolled her eyes and placed in her order.
"Damn look at those tits." Draven was practically drooling already.
"Didn't know it was prostitute hour." Travis commented.
Taylor mumbled something but I didn't give a shit. I never did.
"Man, I wonder if they'd wanna fuck for free." he looked at both of them, I'm guessing trying to measure from a distance which had the largest tits.
"Hell, I'll bang both, or whichever drops their panties first." he started walking towards them and I watched the collision happen.
Her anger in the way she looked up, if her hair was up I could see her more but all I got was a side view.
I'm betting she wanted to beat his ass.
Oh did I want to see this.
"Oh my gosh, don't tell me Draven just did that." Taylor was beside me with her own coffee sipping away.
"No he did, she looks like she's gonna beat his ass."
She said something to him but he was looking at her tits the whole time.
Her shirt was white and probably showing more that causes Draven to be a twelve year old boy again just realizing women had boobs.
"You should've watched where you were going!" he yelled causing more attention on them.
She stepped closer to him and Taylor sighed.
"Let me stop this before is puts him in the hospital." Taylor began to walk towards them.
"No, if she slams him on the ground and he's crying like a little bitch then I'll get involved." I grabbed her arm.
"Did he seriously just blame it on her?" Travis looked having his phone out, having snapchat camera rolling on them.
"Yeah." I nodded watching.
She was quiet for some time before looking down giving me more of a view of her, she was beautiful.
She crossed her arms over her chest as she shoulder shoved him and left in a hurry.
I watched as she speed down the street struggling to put on her jacket, she did not need with the heat outside.
Draven ran after her probably realizing that was the only chance of sex he would get in awhile.
Travis laughed and so did everyone else but I watched her disappear.
Who was she?
I shook my head then and turned back to the conversation. It's not like I'm ever going to see her again anyways.
I didn't spend much time with them, even though Taylor kept begging to go to the beach.
Draven continued to talk about coffee stain girl all through football practice and how he should've gotten her number and invited her to the bar we were going to later tonight.
By time I got back to my apartment Lindsey told me that she wanted to but couldn't because she still wasn't in town.
So I decided to get dressed and get ready to go to the bar.
I got dressed and went to my jeep.
Once I got to the bar I parked and looked at my phone to see it vibrating.
Taylor's name popped up and I hit ignore once again.
I got out and headed into the bar finding it dark and girls grinding on anyone and everyone.
I went to our table and found half the football team drunk.
"We're lucky we don't have practice tomorrow." Draven said chugging down his drink.
"Uhh bro yeah we do." Travis then responded quickly.
I looked out into the crowd and watched the colors dance on the floor and walls. The people on the dance floor, some passionately and others drunkenly, dancing against their dance partners. My eyes moved over to the bar and I saw her instantly, her long shiny hair, she was dressed in something a little tighter and more revealing, being looked at by the bartender. But I kept my distance. Hoping that Draven wouldn't notice a pretty girl like her.
"So you wanna dance?" some girl yelled over the music.
I smiled ready to decline her offer.
"I don't dance babe."
Her cheeks reddened.
"Well what do you do then?" she raised an eyebrow at me waiting for me to take her here and now. But I didn't. I thought it was bullshit to fuck right now.
"Sorry, I can't. I'm a little preoccupied."
"That's too bad." she touched my arm like it would change my mind before she walked away swaying her hips.
I took down a drink and watched her from the other side of the bar.
She was drinking more than I could. But she was also chatting up a fucking storm before silencing herself as her eyes danced around the bar.
I turned around so she couldn't notice a man like me staring.
She had a story, I didn't know what the fuck it was about, but there was definitely a story, pretty girls with the best smiles are always the ones broken. I learned that at a young age.
When I was younger I felt like the king of the world, but when my world crumbled, I began to become attracted to the innocent and ever since then I'm trying to be a hero for them so I don't have to face my own villains.
I watched her take a sip from her cup as she looked up from her glass at someone.
Who was that?
I squinted my eyes suddenly annoyed at the flashing lights.
Fucking Draven.
A/N: I've officially decided that Burning Ruins will be posted every Thursday and I couldn't wait another week so here we are! Also I know the past chapters are short trust me, I'm not blind but the next chapters aren't the prologue, so they'll be much longer than they are now. I originally was going to put the prologue into three parts but decided against it realizing that it was longer than the chapter would be so yeah anyways next chapter will be posted next week. I'm hoping you all are enjoying the story!
