"shit! roy!"
danny came crashing forward, the ice underneath his feet too difficult to stand on. why they had decided to go ice skating was a mystery considering how clumsy danny was.
roy chuckled slightly before grabbing onto danny, steadying him. "hold on to me."
danny clung to roys shoulder like his life depended on it, and roy slowly began to move forward. danny was being dragged behind him, eyes shut tightly and whimpering every time he lost his balance.
"do you trust me?" roy asked seriously.
"of course i do wh-"
danny was cut off by roy gently pushing him forward, letting him (barely) glide on the ice. a squeak left his throat and his instincts told him to try and balance himself, but he fought them and let roy help him.
"see? not so bad."
"yeah." danny mumbled once he was safe in roys grasp. "if you say so."
the rest of the afternoon, danny clutched roys hand as they slowly circled the ice rink. occasionally roy felt a bit daring and tried to spin danny around, but danny put all his trust into him.
once they got off the ice, they sat together at a table, watching the snow fall around them in small clusters.
"i'm glad you trusted me." roy said. "made me real happy, dan."
danny blushed slightly, leaning into roys shoulder. "of course i trust you babes. i know you wouldn't let me get hurt, even though your a bit stupid."
"hey! what do you mean stupid?"
"well you tried to spin me on the ice! i nearly went flying!"
"but you didn't! i saved you every time!"
danny sighed and rested his head on roys shoulder.
"if you say so, willow."
