CH 59 - Angels

Monty POV

"I can't believe this twisted web of...whatever the heck it is." I tell the others.

"Do you want the bad guys to come out and confess?" Nami asks.

"I do." I bang my fist on the table. "...that hurt."

I glare at the others when they all say idiot together, why did I have anything to do with them? I look around the place we invaded without invitation; it was a high-end apartment which now Nami practically owned.

We heard about the guest from George, who came to ask us for background information on the guy staying with Nami, we saw his picture, he was hot. Visiting a unanimous decision but we couldn't go empty-handed, so George whipped up deserts. He needs to open his own damn bakery and soon.

"Let me get this straight." P'Hottie says eating a cream puff. "There is an evil vampire organisation you are trying to stop?"

"Should we really be discussing this with a...human?" George whispers to me.

"Why are you three even here?" Nami asks looking at George, his guard, and the weird Grandfather.

She may be annoyed but still made tea, you can't escape good manners taught to you. She is such a good girl. I smile as George pours me a cup.

It was meant to be us Angels, with Yut tagging along but Ellie has a big mouth, he used texting to further it and told Toll who told the weird Grandfather.

"To strengthen our relations." Grandfather smiles. "We will be family soon."

Dear lord that guy was more delusional then an Otaku who thought the heroine from a manga wanted him, but we liked George.

"What are you doing?" I ask Nami when she frowns looking at her phone. "Trying to hack the vampire network again?"

"Not right now..." She looks up.

"Didn't you get a virus the last time you tried?" Zee says between bites.

"Isn't New head of security?" P'Korn asks. "It's not nice to anger your brother in law to be Nami dear."

"I'm looking into something else." She smiles. "Not a virus, a worm, trying to steal information."

"Learn from that." I tell her. "Don't do it again...you're going to do it again aren't you?"

"It's so much fun." She laughs. "I replaced it with my own and a little surprise."

I sigh, she was insane, totally perfect match for us. Grandfather moves his chair close to her and looks at her phone, he squints then holds his head again groaning. I think she's using binary code, it gives me a headache too.

"Guys I'm a detective." P'Korn looks at us. "I do this for a living and I'm pretty good. Talk to me."

"What we say can't be repeated." Ellie tells him.

"I get that." P'Korn looks serious. "This lot are my family; I would never do anything to hurt them."

Welcome to the fold, P'Hottie. Nami had permission from Yo to tell P'Korn, after all the cousins and their families were descendants too, P'Poppy had even found out who their master had been. She was very old and a friend of Wayo's father, she remembered the name.

I tell him, the three newcomers are listening too. What we know, their attempts at the hospital and what they want, we still didn't know why.

"I wish we did." Yut shoves a pastry in his mouth. "I'm a thrall and they tried to run me over and then steal my body."
