A/N: Hello you wonderful readers. This chapter is longer than my normal ones but I didn't want to split it, so you get a long read. Enjoy :D
Phana POV
When you never had many people in your life that you loved, finding someone precious is a gift and the fear of losing them can change you. Yo was the most important person in my life, everything I wanted revolved around him.
I was a different person back then; my grandmother had indeed given me power which I grew accustomed to easily and it started effecting other parts of my life. It made me more controlling and obsessive with family members, at times even with Yo.

"You're an idiot Lot."
"Are you going to take care of the expenses?" He asked annoyed.
"I will." I reply throwing the wedding card on the table. "You can't be ignorant of her reputation. You will regret this."
"I have little choice." He snaps. "My father has agreed; the invitations are sent...it can't be undone now."
"P'Pha lets go out, I'm feeling better..." Yo sighs walking into my study but stops seeing Lot.
"I will let father know." Lot gathers his things and heads for the door.
"Let's go see the new play." I smile at Yo.
"Not everyone is as brave as you." Lot says quietly as he leaves but I hear him.

Yo! He isn't in bed where did he go? I call his name as I search the wing, only taking a calming breath when I see him drinking hot chocolate on the sofa reading something. I sit next to him pulling him into my lap. He was looking at the wedding card again.
"Too bad we can't...get married P'Pha." He whispers softly.
It makes my heart ache to hear him say it in such a sad tone.
"Did you want me to propose to you?" I ask.
"Of course not." He sits up. "I would propose to you."
"Really?"
"Yes." He smiles at me. "I would bring flowers and would get on one knee and ask you to be mine forever...You would say yes, wouldn't you P'Pha."
"Yes. 100 times, for every time you ask."
He chuckles and hugs me talking about how wonderful it would be. I couldn't get the idea out of my head, to marry my Yo, why did it have to be a dream?
I had the outfits prepared and the arrangements made. It was a small gathering, his mother, my grandmother and a few trusted servants who attended. We stood in the garden under the flower trees and made our vows.
I saw Lot leave, he had been watching but then I saw someone else hidden in the shadow of the house, my father with pure hatred in his eyes. I knew he would cause trouble.
I commissioned a painter to have a portrait painted of us, in our wedding outfits, our memento of our precious moment. It was all we could hope for but for us, it would be enough.

"I hope it is to your liking, sir."
"It is perfect."
The immaculate detail in the architecture of the building, to the coving of every ceiling in the house was done with taste. We stayed in my wing at the main house, but when the rest of the family was there Yo would stay with his mother. I didn't like it; I wanted a home where he never felt the need to leave. Where he would be safe.
