CH 73 - Reality

Phana POV

"What do you think uncle?"

Kit and I watch as uncle moves towards the little girl, his eyes turning but Simi sits still and smiles when uncle asks her name. Her fathers stand together silently, both looking scared.

"Let me see her results."

Kit hands uncle her file, he flips through it slowly.

"You're right." Uncle says after watching her for a while. "She is a born vampire."

Her father who is a vampire himself, Oh, inhales sharply. It was the first sound he made since uncle walked into the room and he greeted him.

"But uncle." I ask him. "These symptoms didn't happen with Yo until he was older."

"It can show early if her vampire blood is fixing something wrong with her human body. There are a few specific tests you need to have done." Uncle answers. "Only a vampire doctor can do them for us to know fully."

"Sir...." In asks quickly. "Is she in danger?"

"Not from what I see but we will know more when we get the results." Uncle turns to Oh. "You're her sire, correct?"

"Yes, Master."

"Two drops of your blood in water will help ease her pain." Uncle instructs. "Once a day, no more. I will have the vampire doctor see to her."

"Thank you." In and Oh say together.

"Come speak with me."

Kit stays with Simi while I follow Uncle and her fathers to my office, it was the closest.

"If anyone finds out what she is, have you thought of the consequences?" Uncle asks her fathers. "Will your Master help you?"

"My last Master wouldn't allow me to be with In, I had to leave..."

"Think very carefully about what you plan to do." Uncle tells Oh. "Can you protect her if they come?"

"No." He runs his hands through his hair looking frustrated. "I can't."

"I will allow you sanctuary for the time being." Uncle tells them. "She will be safe here, decide what you want to do than come see me."

They both bow respectfully before leaving, I stay to talk to uncle.

"What did you mean uncle?" I ask. "If who comes?"

"The Fallen." Uncle leans on the edge of my table. "Born vampire children are a blessing but if they fall into the wrong hands they can be abused. The blood of a born child is more powerful than normal, drinking it can...supercharge a vampire."

"Is that why I could ash that guy, because I drink Yo's blood?"

"Not only is Wayo a born vampire, but he also comes from one of the oldest vampire lines. His blood is exceptionally powerful."

"So I can fight master vampires now."

Not that I really wanted to but if I needed to protect Yo, I was glad to know I could do it.

"Yes, but don't try to fight me." I see the small smile play across his lips. "I'm still quite a lot higher up then even Yo."

I heard the warning loud and clear. He was a high level boss that would kick my ass if I did anything wrong. I quickly open my drawer and take out the two journals, I think this would be a good time to get him on my side.
