CH 64 - Fathers

Phana POV

"I hoped you wouldn't find out." I sigh.

We were having a family dinner, Yo wanted everyone to meet so we could sit and talk. I talked to dad and he would be coming, so would Yo's father and brother.

"Shut it Pha, I'm hurt." Beam glares.

"Says the one who used amnesia..."

"Don't try to use that, you weren't around for it. You have no rights to be upset."

P'Poppy and Nate arranged everything, since we didn't get to finish before, we were choosing the invitations now so they could be ordered and we could start handing them out soon.

"Why did you tell him Kit?" I ask annoyed.

"I didn't, he heard from Forth." Kit sighs. "Would have been quieter if he wasn't here."

"Et to Kitty?"

Of course, I invited Kit and Beam and Yo called Ming and Forth. I did invite Beam; but I was hoping he would show up a little later, I was not having lickable invitations. The noise would get worse once Nami and the angels got here.

The room was large with sofas, a large dining table and buffet-style food set on tables to the side. People had already come and placed dishes, everything would stay heated and available when we wanted. I watch Yo talking to Ming and Forth, he was glowing as he told them what the plan was for tonight.

I smile heading for the door when they open and my father walks in, he's been busy again and looks tired but smiles when he sees me. It isn't long before P'Arthit arrives with his friends, their father close behind. It's a tense moment as dad and Yo's father stand watching each other.

"What's going on?" Kit whispers but I can hear them.

They need to learn to be quiet.

"Do they have bad blood?" Beam asks. "Did one steal the others chicken?"

"Vampire and vampire hunter." Ming answers.

"We don't socialise." Forth finishes.

"Then what's going to happen at the wedding?" Beam asks worriedly. "You killed my cousin; I will take revenge. I kill so many I don't remember your cousin. It will be a blood and ash bath. What if it gets on the cake?"

"Beam." Kit snaps. "Shut up."

I stay next to dad while Yo hurries to his father's side.

"Who could have foreseen this day?" Yo's father breaks the silence.

"A surprise for me too." Dad answers.

"You look the same as the last time we met." Yo's father offers his hand.

"Says the immortal." Dad shakes his hand.

Did they meet before? Yo smiles greeting my father, who pats his shoulder returning the smiling. P'Arthit ruffles Yo's hair, who turns around and greets the group before... Ah, he's hugging his brother again.

"Hug me too P'Yo." Nami giggles walking in with the angels and P'Korn.

"Us too!!!" The angels stop when then see Yo's father, greeting him.

"You can hug me." I smile at Nami.

"I've hugged you enough, I want P'Yo."

"Nami..."

"I'm warning you P'Pha." Nami stomps her foot. "Your wedding day also happens to be my 16th birthday. On that day, you will let me hug P'Yo or I will take matters into my own hands. I know a Master Vampire who owes me a favour. Decide wisely."
