Lisa -

"Damn it"

Slamming the door of my car, I curse myself for being such a forgetful creature and I'm not even drunk yet.

Did I lose my key at the bar?

"What's up fallen?"

"Jesus Chri - "

"Do not use the name of the Lord in vain. Have you forgotten about that commandment?"

I roll my eyes upon realizing that I wasn't alone.

Turning around, I see Jisoo leaning on the hood of my car with a lollipop in her mouth.

"Stop calling me fallen, I'm not the only one dumbass" Jisoo smirks and I glance at Chaeng whose bare feet were hanging as she sits on top of my car.

"Sorry Chipmunk" I beam at her and she gave me a warm smile.

"Apology accepted. Did you forget your keys again?"

I nod and Jisoo walks over in my direction.

"Why don't you fly up there and help her open the door to her apartment Chae?" Jisoo says and I scowl at her stupid idea.

"You're gonna get her in trouble you dipshit" I slapped the back of her head.

"Ouch! I was only suggesting since we can't - but she can!" she pointed at Chaeng who was watching us bicker in silence.

"No! So stop talking and keep your mouth shut or we will wake up the neighbors" I covered Jisoo's mouth and grinned at my best friend Chaeng.

"Why are you here anyway Chipmunk? Did you miss us?"

"Fuck!" I curse at the sting of Jisoo's bite.

"Language!"

"But she bit me! Damn you chickenbrain!"

"I AM ALREADY DAMNED! You moron! Your hand tastes like shit!" Jisoo fakes vomit and I stick my tongue out.

"Will you two stop fighting please?" Chaeng speaks and we both shut our mouths immediately and look at her.

Her halo glows divinely at night and her beautiful white wings spread out as she gets down from the top of my car gracefully.

"Yes I miss you both but I'm here as a guardian"

I furrowed my brows because the last time I remember, the human that Chaeng guards is from a different city.

Yes, you heard me right. My best friend is an angel -

A beautiful one.

Jisoo and I?

We are called Renegades.

Or in a more simple term -

Fallen Angels.

Those who rebelled against the Creator.

It has been a thousand years since my wings were broken and were cast out from heaven -

I was a renegade since then.

We Renegades with broken wings live on earth as a punishment while we wait for the time that we get to be reincarnated.

Jisoo has been living her punishment for more than three thousand years already. She's an older renegade than I am.

Do we still have wings?

Yes, we do. Although it's stained with our rebellion turning it black, our wings are still attached to our back.

Do we have special abilities?

The answer is Yes.

Although our wings can no longer make us fly, our strength is nothing compared to a human being.

All angels including the fallen ones have special abilities, as for Jisoo she can control human emotions while Chaeng can command any animals, including many insects and creatures under the sea. She's like a Disney princess, to be honest.

And as for me -

I can read a human's mind.

But as a renegade, we can no longer see a human's life span as we used to when we were still angels.

Reincarnation is our second chance to live an eternal life again.

The Creator gave us three simple rules to follow in order to be reincarnated as a human.

First Rule, our names should be kept unknown.

We all use a nickname. Jisoo is using Jichu which is very stupid while I use Lisa to keep my real name Pranpriya.

Second Rule, our identity and true form should be kept hidden from the human's eye.

When we say true form, wings should be hidden and eyes should look normal. No one can know our real identity or we will break rule number two. The thing I hate about being a fallen angel is that our eyes turn red every time our emotions overwhelm us.

Jisoo had a drunk moment where her wings were spread out and her eyes were bloody red. I had to knock her down and hide her in the trash until she sobers up so no one will see.

Luckily, no one saw us or she would have lost her chance for reincarnation.

Lastly, we can never interfere in a human's life.

This is the most forbidden and sacred rule the Creator has given.

Welcome to my Renegade life.
