The Renegade (Jenlisa)

Jisoo - 

Years, it's been years since Lisa buried Jennie. Ever since that day, she stopped smiling, she stopped caring and stopped talking. She never uttered a single word - not even a yes or no. 

"Love, have you found anything?"

My chipmunk walked out from the bedroom with messy hair and swollen eyes, she's been crying -  crying almost every night. She's too emotional seeing Lisa shattered, broken and lost especially whenever Lisa comes in late at night, wasted and intoxicated. We decided to move in to Lisa's apartment for good so we can keep an eye on her in case she does something stupid like trying to pull her wings out hoping it will kill her for good so she'd stop suffering from the loss of Jennie.

"I'm trying love"

I pulled her to my lap, she sat and glanced at the book that I was reading. She cupped my face and kissed my forehead.

"You haven't slept more than 2 hours per day my love" 

"Look who's talking, you've been crying too love don't deny it" 

She sighed and nodded her head. She grabbed and closed the book that I was reading and stood up.

"Come on, let's get you to bed. You need to take a break my love" 

"I can't love, not yet. I need to find a way. Maybe there is, I just have to find it"

I've been reading books, thousands of books trying to find an answer to all our questions. We all are certain that Jennie is not a normal human, a renegade's match came from a watcher's bloodline so maybe there is something we can do. Watcher's are believed to be immortal too so maybe - even just for 1%, there will be a chance that we can get Jennie back.

"You need to sleep and regain your energy love"

My head was throbbing and the more I deprive myself from sleep, the more my brain detoriates.

"I'm not the only one who needs sleep here"

I looked at my lover and kissed the back of her hand. The dark circles below our eyes made us look a bit old but her beauty never fades.

"Come to bed with me love" I mumbled against her ear and we went inside the bedroom. 

The very moment my head touched the pillow, I drifted off to sleep. 

"Sooyah..." I heard my chipmunk whisper.

I flinched and woke up at the sound of glass shattering at the other side of our bedroom door and glanced at the clock - 3:42 AM.

I fell asleep for almost 18 hours and now my eyes are wide awake.

"Lisa"

Chaeng gripped the hem of my shirt, her face buried at the back of my neck. I turned around and cuddled her, she snuggled at the crook of my neck and I tried to comfort her by brushing her hair.

"When will Lisa's nightmare stop?" Chaeng whispered against my neck and I felt my heart ache for my bestfriend.

Our match was meant to break us, and seeing how it shattered Lisa - I can't imagine the pain she's going through. We can't end our life because we're immortal which means we will have to experience the pain for eternity- an endless nightmare until we are fully consumed by eternal suffering. 

I got up from the bed and opened the door only to see Lisa bleeding on the floor. Every night she tries to kill herself in different ways but nothing worked - she's still alive, breathing and suffering from losing the one she love.
