Lisa -
"What's running inside that head of yours?"
"Yah Lisa notice me!"
"Do you now agree with my idea of letting Chae fly up there?"
"Are you deaf?? I'm talking to you!"
"Answer me!"
Ignoring Jisoo, I glanced at the windows and the balcony beside my unit.
This wasn't the first time I lost my key.
The last time it happened, I used the fire escape ladder at the corner and jumped from one balcony to another until I reached my unit.
"Yah Lisa! Stop ignoring me"
I glared at Jisoo and I know my eyes are already bloody red because she was annoying the hell out of me.
"Shut up chicken or I'll throw you up there instead"
"Okay fine! Now don't go berserk on me"
I hear Chae laughing and when I glanced at her, she smiled at me "Careful Lisa"
I wink at her "Always am, Chipmunk!"
Reaching for the metal ladder, I used my strength to pull myself up.
This should be easy.
"Careful Limario or you might fall!" Jisoo laughs and I scowl at her.
Damn it Jisoo.
I hastily looked around to check if Jisoo's loudness disturbed our neighborhood. It's already 3 in the morning and this chickenhead doesn't seem to care that people are sleeping.
"Shut up!" I whisper yelled and she popped the lollipop inside her mouth.
I continued to climb and the night breeze made me shiver.
"Damn it's cold"
Reaching for the first balcony, I quietly hopped and balanced myself. Once steady, I jumped to the next balcony but suddenly my phone dropped.
Fuck!
I quickly snatched my phone from the ground and carefully listen for any thoughts around me - but it was quiet which means no one is awake.
Releasing a sigh of relief, I safely tucked my phone inside my pocket.
I glanced below and see Chae smiling and Jisoo raising a thumb while stupidly grinning from ear to ear.
Checking the gap from this balcony to mine, it has a wider gap compared to the first one. But then again, this would be too easy for a creature like me.
Grasping the railings, I was ready to jump when I felt something hard hit the back of my head making me feel dizzy.
"What the fuck?"
Jennie -
"Hey Jen, you sure you'll be fine?"
"Yes Hanbin, I'll be fine"
"Alright then, be careful out there," he says and I went on my way.
Going home at dawn almost every day has been my daily routine for years. My life isn't that very interesting - but very tiring I must say.
I work at Club Zero as a waitress at night and then study at the university as a normal student during the day. Ever since my parents died, I had been living on my own - or let's just say, running away.
As an independent woman, I have set 3 simple rules for myself in order to survive -
First, never allow anyone to know my past - especially my family history.
Second, never trust anyone - they can all be enemies for all I know.
Lastly, never invest in emotional feelings - it will only ruin me in the end.
My new apartment is only one block away from Club Zero so I always walk to cut my expenses plus it keeps me healthy.
One thing I love about this new place I got is the peaceful neighborhood and the spacious balcony per unit. My old place didn't have a balcony so I was thrilled when I found out about it. I always wanted a balcony where I can watch the stars at night.
As I enter my apartment, I switched my lights on.
"Damn it"
I forgot to buy a new light bulb!
Placing my bag on the kitchen countertop, I went inside and took a warm bath using the flashlight on my phone. While drying my hair, my stomach started to growl.
"Shit"
Club Zero was full-packed today and I didn't even have the chance to take my break. Kneeling down the fridge, I was disappointed to know that I have no food left.
"Jackpot" I saw one egg on the tray and a piece of bread.
I placed the frying pan on the stove when a sudden noise from outside caught my attention.
What was that?
My eyes went wide and my heart pounded fast when I saw a shadow of a person on my balcony.
Thief!
Grabbing the frying pan, I tiptoed to the balcony and bite my lip as I swing the frying pan and hit the thief's head.
"What the fuck?"
The thief speaks and turns around to face me.
My heart skipped a beat when I saw a woman standing on my balcony. It was dark but the moonlight illuminated how beautiful the woman is.
She was tall and her scent overwhelmed me. She smells like vanilla -
Wait, is there even a thief that smells this good?
I looked at her again and I noticed that she was wearing black ripped jeans, a white shirt, and a leather jacket. She had plump lips, chiseled jaw and -
Red eyes?
