REVELATIONS AND CONFESSIONS

Lisa -

I decided to bring Jennie to my apartment and let her rest. As I placed her on my bed, I tucked her on my sheets neatly and kissed her cheek.

"I promise to find the culprit Jen, and I'll make them pay for what they did to you"

"That is not a good idea Lis" I looked at Chaeng who appeared at the opposite side of my bed.

"You knew this would happen, why didn't you warn me?"

"You know why I couldn't right?"

I swallowed the lump on my throat and watched Jennie sleep. I know Chaeng isn't allowed to say things that's about to happen, she can only watch and guide her.

"I'm sorry Chipmunk. I - I just.." I closed my eyes for a moment and took a deep breath.

"I just can't imagine my life without Jennie. Despite how complicated my life is, I don't want to spend it without her"

"I know Lis. I understand and I'm sorry if this happened. But I already warned you before about Jennie."

"I know that Chaeng and I told you I will protect her with all that I am. I'm sorry, I just panicked and I blame myself for not being there for her on time"

"Don't say that Lis, you were right on time and you got Jennie out of that place before fire even touched her. She just lost her consciousness due to inhaling too much smoke. But she's okay I promise" Chaeng assured me.

"Thank you Chipmunk"

She smiled and took one last look at Jennie before she disappeared.

"Is she her guardian?"

I peered at the door and saw Seulgi leaning at the doorframe.

"Yes"

"An archangel guarding a watcher. You do know what that means right?"

"Are you referring that Jennie is living a dangerous life? Yes I was made aware of that" I responded and stood up from the bed.

"Let's talk outside" I switched off the light and closed the door.

"Where's Byul and Jisoo?" I asked Seulgi. After the chaotic fire at the university, we all went back to my apartment and decided to ditch the class. I also called CL to tell her that Jennie is sick and won't come in for work.

"Were here!" I saw Jisoo entering the apartment with four boxes of pizza.

What a pig.

"We also bought some beers!" Byul placed the shopping bags at the counter.

"Thanks guys. I mean it. Jennie could've died if we didn't get her out in time. I - I don't know what I'd do if I lose her"

"I know how you feel so stop thinking too much. Now sit, I have things to say" I sat on the couch as Seulgi sat at the opposite side. Byul and Jisoo joined and placed the beers and pizza in front of us.

"Remember what I said about our match? All renegades are meant to break the rules when they meet their match. You know why? Because we inevitably fall inlove with them. And when we fall inlove, we do everything for them including risking everything that's left of us"

I grabbed a bottle of beer and drank half of it.

"Jennie's guardian is an archangel. Archangels are meant to watch those who live a dangerous life. Which means the earlier you will break all the rules Lisa" Seulgi explained.

"I - I don't get it"

"Have you broken any rules yet?"
