3 - Bidding Prep

Both Celestine and AJ want to win in the project bidding with different reasons. AJ wants to prove that he deserve the position his father has given up for their family. Jake Espiritu, whom he fondly calls Papa Ninong will be retiring in less than two years and he is being groomed to take over.

But AJ does not want to get the position that way. He would like to assume the EGCC's presidency because he deserves it and not because he is the first heir. He wants to be EGCC's president through his hard work and not because he is the eldest son of the owner.

"Are you sure okay na yung design na binigay nila Johan? Wala ka bang gagawing revision man lang?" Angela asked during her discussion with AJ.

"We based the plan on that design. If we change the design we will change everything." AJ replied.

"Very evident na ayaw mong manalo sa bidding ah." Angela commented.

"What made you say that?" AJ asked.

"Dati kasi, you make sure na walang flaws yung design. Madalas inaabot ng 2 weeks before you approve yung mga submitted designs." Angela replied.

"We are running out of time. If we revise the design hindi tayo aabot sa deadline natin with the president. Besides, approve na din naman ni Mr. President yung submitted design, therefore let's work from there." AJ said.

"Tell me honestly, are you having second thoughts about joining the bidding for this project?" Angela asked.

"Ano ba yang mga pinagsasasabi mo, Angela?" AJ asked.

"Hindi ko kasi makita ngayon yung perseverance na lagi kong nakikita sa iyo everytime may bago tayong nilulutong project. Ngayon kasi sobrang chill ka lang. Actually, nagulat nga sila Johan na very minimal yung revisions mo." Angela honestly replied.

"Alright, I will be honest with you. Ayoko talagang sumali tayo sa bidding for this project." AJ said.

"Bakit naman?" Angela asked.

"Sobrang dami na ng on-going projects natin. This is a huge deal in case na ma-award sa atin, baka maapektuhan ang ibang trabaho natin." AJ replied.

"Kaya nga gumagawa tayo ng plan para siguradong hindi sasabit yung ibang project natin di ba?" Angela said.

"And you have to admit, hirap na hirap tayo di ba?" AJ said.

"Yes, but I would like to take this as a challenge. I agree with Mr. President, sometimes we should push ourselves to the limit para ma-gauge natin kung hanggang saan ang kakayanin natin." Angela said.

"Nakuha ko rin naman ang point ni Mr. President, kaya nga pumayag na akong sumali sa bidding eh. I am just worried sa mga employees natin. I don't want them to get exhausted." AJ said.

"Alam mo ngayon pa lang, nakikita ko nang you will be a great President kapag ikaw na ang nasa position." Angela said and AJ laughs at her. "Wag mo nga akong tawanan, tutoo naman ang sinabi ko eh." She uttered.

"Hindi kita pinagtatawanan, in fact natutuwa ako kasi hindi lang ikaw ang nagsabi nyan sa akin." AJ said. "Someone very close to me once told me, I'll be a good leader therefore I deserve the president position." He further said.

"Someone close to you, as close as your girlfriend?" Angela asked.

"I am talking about my Mom, Angela." AJ replied.

"Fine." Angela said while rolling her eyes because she does not believe that AJ is talking about his mother since she saw the sparkle in his eyes when he uttered such statement. "Kasi naman meron ka pang someone close to me, si Madam Maine lang pala ang sinasabi mo. But you know, I don't buy that." She said.
