43 - Going Back Home

RJ went home low-spirited. He was restless, too, after his talk with AJ. He don't deny that he was surprised to see AJ in his office earlier to talk to him about Celestine. But the gesture is not enough for him to trust him. He brought his restlessness at home and Maine was quick to noticed it so she decided to talk to him after they had dinner.

"You look bothered, may magiging problema ba sa board meting tomorrow?" Maine asked.

"Wala naman, everything is all set. Dad will fly to Indonesia after the board meeting." RJ replied.

"Sinabi ba nya kung kelan nya kakausapin si Celestine?" Maine asked.

"Nope, basta pagbalik na daw nya from Indonesia, kakausapin nya si Celestine." RJ replied.

"So ano ang status ni Celestine ngayon sa FCC since hindi mo pa tinatanggap ang resignation nya?" Maine asked

"She is on sick leave." RJ replied.

"You missed her." Maine said. "Kahit hindi mo aminin, I can see in you how much you missed her" she further said.

"Bakit ba kasi hindi nya ako maintindihan?" RJ asked then he releases a deep sigh.

"Bakit ba kasi hindi mo rin sya maintindihan?" Maine answered back. "She fall in-love with AJ and nakikita ko naman na mahal din sya ni AJ." She further said.

"How can she fall in-love with a rival?" RJ lamented.

"We were enemies before we fall in love." Maine said.

"Our story is different." RJ said.

"Theirs is different, too." Maine said. "Ours was more complicated, because we hate each other at first. Pero si AJ and Celestine they started as friends." Maine said.

"Why does Celestine always falls for a wrong guy. Is this my karma for playing around a lot before?" RJ asked. "First she fell in-love with a jerk, now she falls in-love with an enemy." He further said.

"AJ Garcia is not an enemy. He is not associate with Jake Espiritu." Maine said.

"Jake Espiritu is AJ Garcia's mentor. How sure are we that they are not using Celestine for their business advantage?" RJ asked.

"Celestine is smart enough to determine if someone is using her or not." Maine said. "Also, can we please move on with that Jake Espiritu issue? You have your own career now, both of you became president, too. Love, college days pa yung rivalry nyo. And lahat naman ng ito, nagsimula sa rivalry nyo when you both compete for Student Council President. Maybe hindi talaga para sa iyo yung position, kaya siya ang nanalo noon." She further uttered.

"He won because he cheated. He bad mouthed me during the campaign. I accepted my defeat, it was him who could not accept the accusations of the other students about him using dirty tactics for him to win the campaign. He could not accept that most of the students don't support his projects because they believe that it was I who should held the position. And lahat ng palpak nyang project because of lack of student's support sa akin nya sinisi. And he did not stop there. Even after graduation, he applied in EGCC which was the number one competitor of FCC. And since then, lahat ng pinapasok naming projects sinusulot ng EGCC." RJ said.

"Can you at least set aside that rift with Jake Espiritu and give AJ a chance? I would like to see what Celestine sees in him, that's why she choose to betray us." Maine said.

"Hindi pa ba obvious, Love? AJ made friends with Celestine nung mas napapansin na ang FCC. He came in time when FCC receives more bidding invitations than EGCC? Kung wala silang GHS, hindi naman sila mananalo. Our designs are better than them." RJ said.
