AJ walks fastly going to the office of the President. He does not know why the President requested to see him. The only thing he has in mind was the two consecutive losses in the bidding against FCC.

He took a deep sigh before he knocks at Jake's door. "Come in" he heard the old man said.

"Good afternoon, Mr. President You want to discuss something with me, Sir?" He asked as soon as he enters Jake's office.

"Dalawa lang tayo sa opisina ko, AJ, therefore enough with the formality." Jake replied widely smiling. "How are you, son?" he asked while gesturing AJ to take a seat.

"Pa, if this is about the Cavite Subdivision project, again I apologized. Hindi ko kasi masyadong natutukan because of the South Korea project." AJ begins explaining.

"This is not about that, AJ. The South Korea Project is far most important than the Cavite Subdivision Project. Besides, I admit FCC's design and proposal is better than what we submitted. Pero kung ikaw ang gumawa ng design natin sigurado ako na tayo ang mananalo." Jake said.

"So what do you want to discuss with me?" AJ asked.

"Wala naman, gusto lang kitang kamustahin. How's work? Nag-eenjoy ka ba?" Jake asked.

AJ chuckles at what he heard. "You asked as if first timer ako sa trabaho ko. Of course I am enjoying my work. But, why do I have this feeling that there is something beyond that pangangamusta sa trabaho ko? " AJ asked.

"Have you talked to your Dad lately?" Jake asked.

"Nope, the last time I went home was after my trip to Korea. Why Pa? May problema ba kay Dad or sa akin?" AJ asked.

"There is no problem with your dad or with you." Jake replied.

"So, bakit mo tinatanong kung nakausap ko na si Dad, may kailangan ba kaming pag-usapan?" AJ asked.

Jake took a deep sigh before he handed AJ an envelope. "This is the problem." He said.

AJ took the document inside the envelope and reads it. His eyes got stuck on the information at the last part of the document.

"You are sick?" AJ asked.

"Yes I am and I have to resign, because I want to live longer." Jake started explaining. "You're Dad and I already talked about it. You will sit as EGCC's President as soon as the board approves your appointment. And we know na formality na lang ang approval ng board since your family owns 65% of EGCC." Jake said.

"Alam mo po how much I want to have your position but I know I am not yet ready for this? Masyado pang maaga, Pa. Hindi ba pwedeng si Daddy muna ang mag-take-over ng presidency while I am still preparing to take over?" AJ asked

"Napag-usapan na rin namin ng daddy mo yan. And honestly, we also think na maaga pa para ibigay sa iyo ang position, pero ayaw itong ibigay ng daddy mo sa iba. Therefore, he asked me if I could still guide you on your first few months as EGCC president. Your appointment as EGCC President and my appointment as your Senior Adviser will be the main agenda on the board meeting next month." Jake said.

"Thank you for trusting me, Pa. I am overwhelmed." AJ said.

"You deserve this, son. I know how much you work hard to get this." Jake said. "And you have to talk to that special girl of yours. Being EGCC's president would mean more time at work and less time at play." Jake commented further.

"I don't have problem with that, Papa. I know she understands." AJ confidently uttered.
