Everyone in the function room are all excited on the announcement of to whom the project of constructing the biggest branch of one of the famous mall in the country will be awarded. Celestine is with Luis Mercado, FCC’s Head of the Finance Division.
“Are you nervous?” Luis asked.
“More of excited than nervous. I really hope na makuha natin ang project na ito. My dad will be happy if this project will be awarded to us.” Celestine said.
“I heard from an insider that we are included in the three shortlisted companies.” Luis said.
“Really, Luis? Who are the other two?” Celestine asked.
“He did not tell me the other two companies. And according to my friend, the board was very impressed with the design that we submitted plus they find our budget proposal impressive, too.” Luis replied.
“I really hope to get this, Luis. I don’t want our efforts to go to waste.” Celestine said.
“I am praying on that, too. I believe in our design, if ever baka sa budget tayo matalo.” Luis said.
“How can that be, me made sure na competitive and budget proposal natin.” Celestine said.
“In my 2 o’clock, si Andrew Garcia, Jr. yun di ba?” Luis said and Celestine discreetly looked at her right side.
“Yeah that’s him.” Celestine said.
“I thought hindi na sila sasali sa bidding. Itinuloy pa rin pala nila.” Luis said.
“Oh bakit ganyan na agad ang mukha mo. I thought you are confident with our proposal. Nakita mo lang si AJ nagbago na agad ang mood mo.” Celestine said.
“Alam mo naman na in every bidding na kasali sila at tayo, lagi na lang tayong talo kapag budget na ang usapan.” Luis said.
“Be positive, Luis. This account is huge, sa sobrang dami ng pera ng client na 'to they will not mind how expensive the construction will be, yung design ng mall ang priority nila.” Celestine said.
“How did you know that?” Luis asked.
“I also have my sources.” Celestine replied.
“If that happens, lalong magiging proud sa iyo ang Daddy mo. Halos sa iyo galing ang idea nung design natin eh. Kung hindi kita kilala, iisipin ko na architect ka.” Luis said.
“I just got some inputs from my friends.” Celestine said.
It took another few minutes before the final announcement and FCC was awarded with the project. Celestine is the happiest as this is the first time they outshine the famous Edward Garcia Construction Corporation. Their hunch is true, their design plays a big factor in winning the bid.
“This only means that we will be very busy in the coming weeks.” Luis said. “Congratulations, Celestine.” He said and gave her a tight hug.
“Congratulation to us, Luis.” Celestine said when someone suddenly taps her shoulder. “AJ, hello there.” She said.
“Congratulations, Celestine.” AJ said and gave Celestine a quick peck on her cheek.
“Thanks.” Celestine briefly replied.
“Congratulations, Luis. I have to admit, you have a very good design, eye catching talaga.” AJ commented.
