The GHS anniversary party is not a simple celebration as AJ envisioned it. He was not expecting a grand party as what he is seeing now. But he could not blame his parents for throwing a grand party for GHS' clients and suppliers.
The formerly known as Obispo Hardware Store is now 200% bigger carrying the name of his mother Graciana. According to his mother, the change of the business name was his grandfather's idea when Gara bought the business from him then eventually his father Andrew Garcia, Sr. bought 45% of the shares and became the co-owner of the store.
AJ's father gave-up the leadership of EGCC to help his mother Gara to manage the store. They are now conquering the Visayas and Mindanao regions which were only a dream when GHS started. As he roams around the place, he sees familiar and new faces, indeed those people warrants the success of their family business.
"Kuya AJ!" he heard someone calls him.
"Hailey, himala maaga ka. Dati-rati, dumarating ka nang patapos na ang party. And if I may add, you look very pretty tonight." AJ commented when he sees Grace talking to Hailey, the only daughter of his Papa Jake and Mama Winona.
"Aunt Winona makes sure na hindi sya late today, Kuya. Ipinasundo talaga sya sa airport para dito na sya dumiretso." Grace said. "At wala syang nagawa kundi isuot ang gown na binili ng Mama nya." She further said.
"Baka bigla kang magkaboyfriend ngayon ha." AJ kidded.
"Sus, nag-gown lang ako, magkakaboyfriend na agad? Malayo pang mangyari yan." Hailey objected. "Baka nga mas mauna pa itong si Grace na magkaboyfriend kesa sa akin eh." She further commented.
"Nagpapaligaw ka na Grace Ann?" AJ asked.
"Excuse me Kuya and Ate Hailey, maraming nang dumarating na guest, tulungan ko lang sila Dad na mag-entertain ng bisita." Grace uttered and quickly walks away from AJ and Hailey.
"You are the one closest to Grace. Tell me honestly, may umaaligid na ba dyan sa kapatid ko?" AJ asked.
"Kung sa umaaligid lang naman eh sobrang dami. Ano ba ang i-expect mo, ang ganda ng kapatid mo, normal lang na maraming may crush sa kanya." Hailey said. "Also, wag natin syang pag-usapan, Kuya. Ikaw ang gusto kong tanungin, bakit ka nag-iisa ngayon? Nasaan ang ka-date mo?" Hailey asked.
"Ano bang date ang pinagsasasabi mo? Wala akong date tonight." AJ said.
"Maganda naman sya ah, bakit ikinakahiya mo?" Hailey asked.
"Excuse me, anong sinabi mo?" AJ asked in reply.
"Ang sabi ko, maganda naman yung girlfriend mo, bakit ayaw mong ipakilala sa amin." Hailey said and AJ remained mum. "Gulat na gulat ka naman, Kuya. Bakit may sabit ba?" She asked.
"What made you say that she is pretty?" AJ asked.
"I saw you in Korea, I think that was more than a month ago. You were so sweet together and bagay talaga kayo. I was not able to greet you kasi may kasama akong clients eh." Hailey said.
"Bakit ngayon mo lang sinabi sa akin yan? Alam na ba ni Mama Ninang na nakita mo kami sa Korea?" AJ asked.
"I haven't told her, sobrang dami kasi ng trips ko these past weeks kaya halos hindi na kami nagkikita nila Mama." Hailey replied.
"Please don't tell them. Ako ang mag-sasabi sa kanila." AJ said.
"No problem, Kuya." Hailey said
"Thanks, Hailey." AJ said.
"She looks very familiar, Kuya. Celebrity ba sya? I know I've seen her before, I just could not remember where." Hailey said.
