“I did not like how close you were with Angela, too. Therefore we are even, Architect Andrew M. Garcia, Jr.” Celestine said.
A very short statement but enough for AJ to smile widely because for ten months that they are together, very seldom that he sees her get jealous. Between them, it is him who often gets jealous but he could not do anything since both of them agreed to keep their relationship a secret.
They could not deny the rivalry of their family business and they both believe that the rivalry will not give an advantage to their blooming relationship. Whether they like or not, the competition between the companies they work with will be very evident.
They decided to keep their relationship in order to avoid conflicts specially at work. AJ wanted this togetherness to last a lifetime as he sees no one with him in the future aside from Celestine. And he will do everything he can to make this relationship work.
“I don’t remember an instance that I get close to Angela earlier.” AJ said.
“She was fixing your tie before you went inside the hall.” Celestine said and AJ chuckles.
“Grabe, may mata ka ba sa likod at pati yun nakita mo? How many time will I tell you na officemate ko lang si Angela, nothing else.” AJ replied.
“Siguraduhin mo lang if not, hindi ka na makakapasok dito sa condo ko.” Celestine said.
“Grabeng selos naman yan, Babe. But I actually like it, it thrills me.” AJ said.
“I was not jealous, I was just thinking na dapat ako yung nag-aayos ng necktie mo, kaso hindi pwede. We have to act as if we are only civil with each other.” Celestine said.
“Nahihirapan ka na ba?” AJ asked.
“Hindi naman. Alam mo yung pakiramdam na ang daming umaaligid sa boyfriend ko pero hindi ko mahila ang mga buhok kasi wala namang nakakaalam na boyfriend ko sya.” Celestine said.
“Then you are right we are even. Ako rin naman, I hate it when I see other men vying for your attention.” AJ confesses. “At para hindi ako mainis, ang iniisip ko na lang, kahit anong gawin nyo, akin na ang puso ng magandang babaeng yan.” He added.
“Does it work?” Celestine asked.
“Only a little, kasi naman minsan nakakapraning na baka may makita kang iba na mas worthy kesa sa akin.” AJ said.
“Ang arte mo, Babe. Alam mo gutom lang yan. Ang mabuti pa, help me to set the table. I am almost done with the dessert.” Celestine said.
AJ smiles and started to clean and set the dining table. “Balita ko na-hire nyo na yung architect na nag-top sa board exam this year. Mukhang madadagdagan ang babakuran ng Daddy mo ah. I wonder kung ano ang offer nyo.” AJ said.
“My Dad was very impressed at his portfolio. You are right nakakalula ang offer sa kanya ni Dad but hindi pumayag si Dad na maging assistant sya ni Isaac. Masyado pa raw maaga to give him the position.” Celestine replied. "And about naman sa pambabakod ni Dad, if I know enjoy na enjoy ka naman sa pambabakod ng Daddy ko." She added.
