55 - Impatient

Celestine got mum at AJ's news about the agreed partnership between FCc and EGCC. RJ and Andrew gave AJ the chance to tell Celestine the result of their talk about the buy-out.

"Hello, Babe. Are you still there?" AJ asked Celestine.

"Tell me you are not joking, Andrew Jr." Celestine uttered.

"I am serious, why don't you go and ask the Chairman. Sya ang ka-meeting namin ni Dad kanina." AJ replied.

"I can't believe this is happening, Babe." Celestine said.

"You better believe it now, Babe. We are finally reaching our dream." AJ said.

"Excuse me, Ms. Celestine, the Chairman would like to see you in his office now." AJ heard someone told Celestine.

"I need to go now, Babe. Pinapatawag na ako ni Mr. Chairman. I'll just see you later." Celestine said.

"Yeah, I'll see you later, Babe." AJ said before they both hang up.

The succeeding days has been very busy for both FCC and EGCC in working for the partnership. Both companies agreed that local markets will be handle by FCC while EGCC takes care of the international projects. And since EGCC is task to deal with foreign clients, AJ has became too busy travelling to different parts of the world.

"Ate, bakit mo sinusukat yang gown mo?" Edmond asked when he sees his sister trying on her gown for the wedding.

"I just want to make sure that it fits perfectly to me. Ayoko naman na kung kelan wedding day na saka pa ako magkakaproblema. And ano naman ang masama kung isukat ko ang gown ko?" Celestine asked.

"Baka hindi matuloy ang kasal." Edmond replied.

"And you believe that stuff? When were you born, Edmond?" Celestine said.

"Leave your sister alone, Edmond. Tama lang na isukat nya ang gown nya ngayon para magawan na agad ng paraan kung may kailangan i-adjust." Maine commented. "You are so beautiful, Celestine. I bet, you are the most beautiful sa wedding day." She further commented.

"Mommy, the bride is always the most beautiful in her wedding day." Edmond sarcastically commented.

"I know, but this wedding is an exception because my daughter will be the most beautiful of them all." Maine said.

"Mommy, maid of honor lang po ako. Ibalato na natin kay Hailey ang araw ng kasal nya." Celestine said. "Therefore, kahit ilang beses ko pang isukat ang gown na ito, Edmond, it will not matter on the superstitions na ipinaglalaban mo." She further said.

"Ate is right, Mommy. Let Hailey be the most beautiful on her wedding day. I'm sure, ate will be the most beautiful bride in the world kapag dumating na ang time ng kasal nya." Edmond said.

"Thanks, bro!" Celestine said.

"The question is, kelan ka naman kaya magiging bride? Mukhang nakalimutan ka na ni Kuya AJ eh, dahil sa sobrang busy na magtayo ng mga building at subdivision sa lahat ng parte ng mundo." Edmond commented, teasing.

"Kaloka ka, Edmond. Matapos mo akong purihin, aasarin mo rin pala ako." Celestine protested. "For your information, hindi lang si AJ ang busy, ako rin sobrang busy kaya wala pa sa plano namin ang magpakasal." She added defending herself and AJ.

"Magpakasal ulit, Ate. Don't forget na nagpakasal na kayo ni Kuya AJ, nag-divorce nga lang." Edmond said. "Dapat kasi hindi na kayo nag-divorce para secure ka na kay Kuya AJ. Sige ka baka may makilala pa yang ibang babae sa mga bansing pinupuntahan nya, bigla kang ipagpalit." Edmond continued teasing her sister.
